Chapter 6: You Could've Used My Face
"Ummm... can I answer your proposal after we get to know each other." He actually doesn't mind.
"You don't have to worry about what he said, Fio. He's just joking, don't mind that pervert and let's go." We're going to find a room for me right? Why are they excluding me?
"Is that so?" Fio innocently tilted his head.
"See that June, if you ever try to corrupt the heart of this angelic soul, I'll kill you." Haruka scary, Haruka scary... I need to think about it twice since I don't think one is enough for her hostility.
"Don't get too heated... anyways, why are you even coming with us? You already got your room."
"Well, I'm bored, I was sitting all the time while traveling towards this place so I want to move my body a little." A very Haruka-like answer.
"Did I really slept like a log? I didn't even notice what we're riding on the way." I didn't even feel anything, as if my senses are turned off... now that I think about it, mana deficiency is really bad.
"Yeah, you actually slept for six hours, I slapped you six times and you didn't even flinch hahaha." This girl. "What we rode is also amazing, carriages as long as a limousine dragged by elephant-sized bulls with large horns and thick white fur... if only you could've been awake at that time, you could've seen it too, it's so awesome I can't even put it into words, they're big but the ground doesn't shake at all when they walk." I can imagine what she's describing but I'm pretty sure it'll be totally different from what she saw, that's always the case with this girl, still she's really enthusiastic about this. "The only problem is the seat inside the carriage is uncomfortable, it made my butt hurt along the way."
"Yeah, it's really a shame I was asleep earlier." There's nothing better to do other than sightseeing afterall, if you're in another world.
"I agree." She nods to herself with a smug look.
"If I was awake, you could've used my face as a tool to sit, to make yourself more comfortable." I also nodded while crossing my arms.
"That would've been more uncomfortable." She instantly retorted. ".....and don't look at me with that gloomy face, for your information I haven't seated on anyone's face, it's just my opinion but no matter how you look at it, doing that inside the carriage, I can get nothing but the worst feeling." That's true. ".....and don't make a happy face all of a sudden, I'm not gonna sit on you."
"Why not?"
Just like that we wasted our time talking about nonsense until we arrived at Fio's school.

The difference between the two schools that I noticed after arriving here is that there's too much grass on our side, while on this side everything is perfectly polished, to the roads, buildings and even the statue of whoever that guy is. Fio talked to an older woman wearing glasses for a few while before giving me the okay, I guess I will not be sleeping outside for today.
"Since the rooms are being divided and you're the only one who doesn't have a partner, why don't we share my room?" He smiled bashfully after asking me.
"Okay, I don't really mind as long as I have a room." To be honest, I couldn't care any less where I sleep as long as it's inside.
"Wait, are you okay with that?" Haruka suddenly hold his shoulders. "If you stay with this guy you might be attacked, you should be careful with yourself more." Hey, stop shaking his shoulders, he'll get dizzy.
This girl doesn't really have any trust on me, there's no way I would attack a guy. I mean I have a rule that only a girl could make me hard.
"I don't think he's the type that would do something like that." How would you know that I'm not that kind of guy? Does he really trust me that much? "...and for some reason no one wanted to share a room with me, I'm just very glad that I finally have a roommate, I'm excited and really looking forward to sharing a room with you." Is it possible for a human to have this kind of angelic smile, wouldn't I be cursed for seeing this for free and where is all this light coming from? Is it heaven? Could this be enlightenment?
"Would." Well, it just means that if Fio makes me hard then he's also a girl, a boy that is a girl, it seems there are several mysteries in this world that hasn't been explained yet, I guess I'm the one needed to solved those questions.
Hey, why are you cracking your fists, Haruka? Please spare me.
"Also I need to monitor Mr. June, so that he doesn't exhaust his mana again." He's really pumped up huh? It's fine since he's cute anyways.
"Yeah, I'll not do that again." I already learned my lesson.
"That's the right attitude, no one wants to get brain damage anyways."
"Eh? You can get brain damage from what I did." Eh? Scary.
"Yeah, like vines growing out of your head." Wait, not mentally but a physical brain damage, Eh? Scary.
"I'm warning you for the second time June, don't ever-" Her eyes are scary so I just shut her up with my finger, why is everything getting scary?
"Shhh... I understand, let's go find food, I'm really really hungry, haven't eaten anything since the time before we were summoned."
"Hey-"
She called me but I ignored her, I don't want to deal with her lecture again so I started finding where the cafeteria is in this school.

"Are you done eating, Fio? Is that all you gonna eat? Are you gonna be fine? You're already thin, you should eat more." I was holding his hand earlier and I noticed for a boy his age, isn't he pretty underweight?
"I'm fine, this is my usual portion, I easily get full so I don't eat much." What is that body? I'll die if I have that kind of body. You can't even stuff your mouth with meat like what's Haruka doing right now, poor boy.
"Don't die, you should always eat a proper meal, just look at Haruka, that's the look of someone who eats a proper meal." Haruka agreed with my statement by nodding, with a piece of meat still in her mouth. "I doubt she would die, even if she didn't eat for a week." Haruka's face twitched at that sentence.
"Did you just say, I'm fat?" Haruka swallowed the food she's eating in one motion and look at me angrily... I did not say anything like that, you're the one who said those.
We are currently in the cafeteria eating, and I mostly ordered meat dishes. Apparently, aside from training and accommodation, the food is also free. Any student can just go to the cafeteria anytime and asked the chef for your preferred dish on the available recipes posted, and it will be cooked and served. Me, I only chose the food with cool naming sounds, that is probably meat just by looking at the picture. I don't know what kind of meat is this but since it's delicious, everything is all right.
The one serving and cooking the food is a life-sized wooden doll wearing a maid outfit. Fio said it doesn't get tired, that's why it can work all the time. The only people eating in the cafeteria right now are the summoned ones since most students studying in this school doesn't live in the dormitories, but I hope she gets a rest, she may not get tired but it's pretty annoying dealing with people all the time.
"Curious about Mea?" Fio asked after wiping his mouth with his handkerchief.
"Her name is Mea?"
"Yeah, curious about how she moves? Actually, a spirit is inside the doll that's why it can move, it was singlehandedly created by the principal to help the students. Usually, there's another doll who's always by her side, her twin Mae but I heard Mae is now ordered to serve in the other school that's why she's the only one here." Eh? They have to be separated, that's sad.
"Now that I think about it, we're talking about school but we don't know the names of the two schools yet, do they have one?" Although I already know the answer I still asked, just in case.
"Yeah, the new one doesn't have a name yet but ours is called Teabisnia Noble Academy of Magic, most students here have a magic wielding class like me."
""Just like I expected."" Haruka and I said at the same time and sigh.
"Hmm???" Confused by our reaction, Fio tilted his head again.
Teabisnia Noble Academy of Magic is located in Teabisnia Kingdom, where the first heroine of the first game of Days/ series is born. The Days/ series is a very popular franchise back in Japan, it started with a visual novel game, then several light novel and manga came out but what made it popular is the anime and the gacha game. The game, light novel and manga has different stories that focuses on different characters, and the anime only adapted the most popular and engaging parts, that's why it's hard for anime-only watchers to find where to start. If someone want to understand the entire story that is happening, you either need to consume everything from the start, following the release date, or play the gacha game. The gacha game called Days/ of Neverending Journey has the main story in chronological order and the secondary events listed in the archive, although it'll take a long to time to read and finish. I'm the also one who recommended the series to Haruka, that's why our reaction is the same, but she doesn't want to read everything when I recommended it to her, so she only plays the gacha and watches the anime from time to time.
Haruka and I became a fan of the series because we like the lore, even though 50% of the playable characters in the gacha are already dead. Though most of the fans like the hot characters they release every update, I don't deny liking the sexy women they released aside from the lore and don't worry they have sexy men for woman too. The best thing about the gacha based on the player survey is the dating simulation and marriage system, the player is only shown like a shadow so you can basically marry any playable character. The dating simulation part is a bit bland for me since it's just going to their room and talking to them but I guess other people like it, choosing the right lines to boost the intimacy meter, visiting the character everyday for three months is enough to max the character's intimacy and you can only visit five characters a day so you need to choose carefully. If you don't want to do the visiting because it takes too long, repetitive and annoying, you can always use real money to buy your desired character a gift that increases intimacy. After maxing their intimacy, you need to buy a ring in order to marry the character, it costs a lot but you can farm stages to buy it or use the easiest way, real money for the second time. The rewards is a wedding scene and a new outfit for the character, a wedding gown or a suit, it's worth it if I say. Not to brag but as a free to play player, I already have eighty wives, it's an harem baby.
What I intended to say is, it's a good series. The story mostly focuses on romance and war, my favorite genre actually is mystery but I didn't mind reading the story of this series because it's greatly written, even though it's tragic. The thing that hooked me the most is the mysteries surrounding their world which isn't explained much in detail, but I didn't mind since it only made me excited every update and it's what drives me to continue reading the story. I have to thank TurtleShell-sensei, the overall writer of the series, for bringing a really magnificent series to life, but now that I'm summoned to this world I didn't like the idea by a hundred percent. I mean it's the world where fifty percent of the playable character died and most of those characters are overpowered as hell, how the heck would an NPC like me survive and able to live this world that has a war every year? Can I even live properly here?
