Chapter 7: Please Step On Me Harder
"By the way, did you see the second princess? She and her knight came to talk to Sir Elias during your match." Our instructor huh?
"I barely saw their silhouette, must be because I'm already losing consciousness that time." So those two are the ones who had helped me get the win on the bet. "Although that time when I'm falling I slightly got a peek on her legs, that's why even if my eyes are already closed, my mind knows that we really end up in this world... I mean there's no way I'd forgot the thick plump thighs of my wife."
"Pervert... and don't call Felicia your wife." She pointed at me using her fork.
Felicia Estevana, the main heroine of the first game of the Days/ series called Days/ of Intertwining Fates is a very popular character. The game that started this series, is a visual novel erotic game which let's say have a medium difficulty, because it has actual battle parts. In the game, the player is playing as Lucas Vchyallios, the protagonist, the personal knight and bodyguard of Felicia, the second princess of Teabisnia Kingdom.
The game story starts with a scenario of the two fleeing the kingdom and that happened eight years after the summon of the otherworlders. So yeah, this kingdom summoned people from another world, trained them for four years, start the war with the neighboring kingdom on the fifth year and lose the war on the eight year, that's why the two run away. I guess we're those summoned people, if this world is following the game history, then we'll train for four years and then die. Yes, I don't know how the kingdom was defeated but it's implied that there's no otherworlders that survived in that war, that's what I read on the text summary after starting the game.
"Are you guys talking about Princess Felicia? What do you mean by your wife?" Fio asked.
"Yeah, she's my wife." Only on the game though.
"I know Princess Felicia is a gorgeous and kind person, she's popular and many people admires her but you shouldn't say that in front of the knights or royals, they might execute you." Fio warned me with a worried look.
"Pfft... he just called you delusional." Haruka bursted into a laugh and after laughing loudly for a minute, that even turned everyone's attention to us, she wiped the tears coming out of her eyes. "Still the Felicia in the game feels very different from the Felicia in this world." She said after laughing.
"How?"
"Like her voice and mannerisms, the Felicia in the game is a very cold person that doesn't even change her expression and has a voice that could freeze every place she walks over, right?" Yeah, that's how I remember it so I just nodded and she continued. "But the Felicia here is a very kind girl with sugary voice, and to be honest I'm more scared of this type of Felicia, I can't read her at all and I feel like she's a very dangerous person." Woman's intuition huh?
Maybe she changed after the war started and her attitude had gotten colder and colder after the countless events she experienced, since she already have a cold personality before the game started, the only possible reason she changed is because of the ongoing wars, or we're in a different timeline. In the game, the protagonist need to be apart from the main heroine for two years in order to continue her route. After the separation, he'll meet the other eight heroine and then the player would need to choose whether to continue the main route or follow the other routes, the only problem I have with the first game is... there's no harem route at all. In order to pursue the other routes, the player needs to reach a sufficient level by fighting enemies in a turn-based battle, each route has an entry stage the player needs to clear in order to proceed, and the hardest route overall is the main heroine and last heroine's route. For example the entry stage for the second heroine is saving her village from a monster attack, after the player clear that the player can now go on with her route, that's why most players always save their game right after the separation part. The reason I gave it a medium difficulty is because there are routes and locations that needs certain items to continue, if the player don't have that he/she'll be stuck in that position and the player will need to go back to the last save point.
In the game after clearing the entry stage for the main heroine, the protagonist will meet her again and that's where her personality will have a drastic change, a cold person to a woman with a crazy personality, she became a yandere. While Lucas is protecting the second princess from the enemies who attack them head-on, the princess is protecting Lucas from behind the scenes, from the nobles who hated him, her family and others. She has two endings, if the player clear the game and defeat the last boss, Lucas will marry her, the good ending. If the player failed to defeat the last boss, she'll be the one to defeat it and Lucas will end up in a state where he can't move his body forever, Felicia will take care of him while draining his body every night, if you know what I mean, that's the bad ending, which isn't really that bad for other people with that kind of taste. On the twentieth anniversary of the franchise, they released a safe ASMR with the voice actor of Felicia, a thirty minutes scene where she take care of Lucas, you're hearing the POV of Lucas, and oh boy the reaction of the male fans is simply ecstatic, they know what they're doing. Her cold voice that is overflowing with love is simply exquisite so I can't imagine a Felicia with a sweet expression, that would have to be a different character.
"You don't need to worry about Princess Felicia, I'm pretty sure she only visited today to see if the summoning is a success." I have read information about that, in her past she's usually on her own and only went back and forth between her school and home.
"Is that true, Fio?" Haruka asked and Fio nodded, I remembered she's bad with handling those kind of girls, the scheming types. There was this one time where a girl is spreading bad rumors about her and she just went to that girl's classroom and punch her, it was very funny. "Why are you laughing?" I accidentally let out a chuckle.
"I just remembered that time." Without needing to explain she understood and blushed.
"That never happened, if you don't forget that I'll kill you." She's really scary... but still cute.
"Anyways, shouldn't you be going back to your dorm now? It's already night."
"It's fine, it's still early, and if I couldn't go back I'll just stay in one of my friend's room." Is what she said last.
After eating, we went to Fio's room that is our room starting from today, and Haruka went to talk to her classmates in other class. The room is actually big, enough to fit two beds, a bathroom and a kitchen. I thought it would be cramp like those college apartments but it's even larger than a normal hotel room. Fio gave me a simple tour inside the room, explaining to me how everything works which is fairly easy to understand. For example the lights, a square-shaped bulb on the ceiling and right at the center of the room, it works because of a thing called magic stone, the usual stone. In this world, there are two ways to obtain magic stone; first is killing monsters, cause monsters usually drop magic stones, second is finding a person with a [Gem Specialist] class, they can create magic stones by collecting mana in the air and compressing it until a magic stone materialize out of nowhere, cause a magic stone is just mana in physical form... yeah, I can only picture a magician doing that thing where an object suddenly appears in his/her hand. Apparently, a magic stone created by a gem specialist is better than the one dropped by monsters because it's purely gathered from the source and not contaminated. Like the lights in our room, these lights can run up to ten years because of one single mana stone. I got information like this that are not explained in the game because of Fio.
"By the way Fio, do students usually help with the summoning?" I asked.
"No, I volunteered since you can earn bonus points for helping."
"You're too straight-laced, I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm complimenting you... compared to someone like me who couldn't care less about my future, you're too bright." But I'm summoned in another world suddenly so the problem about my future career path, can't I just completely forget about it?
"Thank you... but straight-laced huh? My classmates called me that before, like I'm too innocent, serious and can't take a joke. Even earlier I couldn't understand some of the topic you and Haruka-san are talking about." Who're those guys that are bullying my Fio? Let me talk to them. "It made me want to change, so that maybe they'll let me join... I want to understand them."
"..."
"Ah, sor-"
"Is that really what you want? For me, changing because your surrounding told you too can go to hell..." Forcing someone to go with the flow..... why can't you be like them? Why can't you be normal for a second? Really, you're just like your mother..... those words, they said you need to follow those rules, to be a proper adult, but if being a proper adult means closing your eyes to everything and blindly walking, then I'll say it's better to stay as a kid. "You said you want to understand them, then why can't they do the same? You don't have to change." I said as I ruffled his hair.
"Is that okay?" He asked while staring at the floor.
"It's fine." I waved my hand. "Just look at Haruka, she's rowdy, loud as hell and can't stay still in a single spot but no one cares because they know she's just that kind of person."
"Oi... What did you say?" The door suddenly flung open, we forgot to lock it. "That's the second time you insulted me for the day, prepare yourself." She still has the thing earlier on her mind.
"Please spare me." In a quick motion, I was already on the floor doing a dogeza.
"Do you really think I would forgive you huh?" Stop with the delinquent act. "You quickly get into the pose as if it's your nature but I know you're not even a little serious about your apology... Oi, Oi, Oi, are you underestimating me, you bastard? We've been classmates for a year and a half already, did you think I don't know what you're doing?" She started rubbing her right feet on my head.
"Can you please step on me harder?" Getting stepped on by a beautiful woman using her bare feet is an absolute pleasure.
"This bastard!"
"Hahaha... you guys really suit each other... Hahaha." So Fio can laugh, is it okay to see this incredible sight? Won't the gods curse me at this rate?
"I know right, she's just a tsundere."
"You, shut up." Haruka sighed.
That's how we wasted our time until we're eventually yawning, it seems we're the friends Haruka is talking about, the room where she can stay. We talked for a few while with the three of us before going to bed.
