She only owns traditional clothes, and works as a barista
“Thank you for having me, and thank you for the meal.”
Kaede bowed to Yuki and Rika.
Yuki waved her hands.
/She makes me feel like I have no manners!/
“Kaede, there’s no need to be so formal. We’re friends, please stop by anytime you’d like.”
Kaede smiled.
“I will be sure to do so.”
/She is so polite!/
Yuki beckoned to her kimono and robe.
“Please don’t feel like you need to dress up so nicely when you do. Wear whatever you’d like!”
Kaede tilted her head.
“I only own traditional clothes.”
Everyone in the room stared at her.
/Who is she?!/
“I suppose Kimono aren’t too necessary though considering the season, I have many Yukata also.”
A bead of sweat sat on Yuki’s forehead.
“Those will be just fine. Whatever you’re most comfortable in.”
Internally, Yuki was crying.
/I can’t even afford to buy one Yukata./
Yuki felt soft tug on her sleeve.
Kaede was staring into her eyes thoughtfully.
“You seem sad. Is something wrong?”
Yuki blushed, she hadn’t realized how obvious her emotions were.
“I’m just thinking how amazing it is that you can afford so many nice clothes. Considering how expensive traditional clothing can be.”
Kaede smiled.
“Many of them are passed down in the family, also we have been tailors for a number of generations.”
Yuki was enamored by Kaede’s graceful nature, and also learning she had such an interesting life. They all did.
She also questioned why she would be a barista if she had a generations old family of traditional tailors.
“Why... Why are you a barista?”
Kaede looked at her with confused eyes.
“I want to. My siblings work as tailors, so I found something different.”
The level of cuteness resonating from Kaede almost stopped Yuki’s heart.
“Be my best friend forever, please.”
Yuki covered her face.
Kiko pouted.
“What about me.”
Yuki leaned over and held her hand.
“You are too, but she’s just too cute!”
Kiko nodded.
“She really is. Can I be your best friend forever also?”
/180 flip!/
Kaede was blushing.
“I- I hope you all become my new best friends. If you’d like...”
Yuki and Kiko swooned. Both falling in each other’s arms.
“She’s too much, right?”
“Right!”
The both looked at Mary with serious eyes, and whispered.
“Don’t mess this up!”
Mary blushed and shook her head.
“That’s too much pressure!”
She looked at Kaede, whose eyes began to sparkle.
“I really don’t think I can, though.”
Yuki and Kiko watched her intently.
Mary put her fists together and nodded.
“I’ll do my best.”
Yuki and Kiko once again fell over, Yuki’s spirit practically already leaving her.
“She actually did it! Right out of a manga!”
Yuki began tearing up.
“It’s too cute for my poor heart. Moe IRL!”
Hidetake was also blushing, trying his best not to yell out.
“You two are the epitome of moe IRL!!”
Kiko patted him on the shoulder, trying to calm him.
“Please try not to hyperventilate, again.”
“I’m sorry, they’re extremely cute.”
Kaede and Mary were blushing.
“Thank you.”
Rika tapped Yuki’s shoulder.
“We may be making them feel uncomfortable again. Why don’t we let them go, it’s getting late.”
Yuki sat up, and straightened herself.
“You’re right. Sorry!”
Kaede and Mary has begun walking towards the door.
“See, they’re already trying to escape.”
Mary and Kaede rubbed their necks, having been caught.
“Sorry, I don’t want to keep my driver waiting any longer.”
Mary nodded.
“We were going to spend some time together also.”
Yuki and Kiko began guiding them out the door.
“Don’t let us stop you, in that case!”
“You two have fun!”
Kiko and Yuki peered from behind the door as they walked away.
“They’re totally going to hold hands.”
“I know right?”
Rika tugged both of them away.
“Let then have some privacy you two. No more meddling for tonight.”
They both pouted, crossing their arms.
“Fine.”
Rika lifted Yuki’s chin.
“Be happy that you introduced them, let them work it out for themselves now.”
Yuki blushed.
“You’re right. I guess I get carried away when love is in the air.”
Rika smiled, and leaned closer.
“It’s not a bad thing, maybe just save something for me.”
Yuki closed her eyes, visions of butterflies floating around them.
