Lightning Reborn
With my Business done with Guts I headed outside the village to where I had previously experimented with the [Character] card before. After my life and death experience with the lighting fang tiger I had gained more than enough experience to acquire not just one but two soul cards. Now I just needed to decide what cards out of my collection should I use to craft.
Following father’s advice I plan on only using two material cards from the lighting fang alongside the new weapon card he gave me before. Although it was tempting I decided to hold off on crafting anything with the mana stone. If I found a master smith he could turn it into a much more powerful weapon so I thought it best to wait for a time were I could meet one. I definitely wanted to use one of the higher quality card though so after careful consideration I felt that the tigers pelt would make for the perfect material for this new creature I was about to create. Maybe crafting that with the katana cards would make a new tiger monster with blades over its body.
Now for the second card I would use should be close to its rarity so I decided it best not to use the meat or blood as materials. The fangs would be better to have made into a weapon so they were also eliminated from the options. That just left the tigers bones and heart as an options. Although the bones were strong they were partially damaged from the battle I had with the lighting fang, and with the tigers heart there was the possibility it could gain the ability to generate electricity to a certain degree. The lighting fang tigers heart was decided to be the next material I would use.
I had now decided on the tigers pelt, its heart, and the twin katanas as three of the four cards I would use to craft, but I still had one more card I could add as well. I looked though the remainder of my cards, looking for what would be the perfect addition. After nearly running out of ideas I pulled from among my deck of cards one that I had forgotten about after all this time. When Pebble had defeated all those horned wolves from before even though the regular wolves didn’t have a mana stone the pack leader did.

- This mana stone came from a horn wolf like no other. The mana of the beast was so strong compared to the others in its pack it had condensed into a small stone. There is a slight affinity to wind magic dwelling in the stone. It is a recommended for the creation of weapons.
This card might be lower rank then those of the other cards I had chose to use as materials but even though that was the case the mana stone had the power of wind magic inside of it. The synergy of lightning and wind was to interesting of a thought to resist, and so I had finally found the remaining card I would use to craft my new monster.
I held out my hand and chanted the name of the skill.
“Card Craft!” (Arin)
With that command the bright screen from before had appeared once again after so long. At the center of the screen I placed the [Character] card along with all the other material cards in each corner of the screen. Just like before once all the cards had been placed on the screen they had combined together and formed a new card. As I reached out to grab it suddenly the card was shining with a strong light and before I could tell what was going on the new card had manifested the new creature. Unlike with Pebble instead of combining as a card once it the crafting was complete the will of the card allowed it to take its physical form without the need for me to release it from its card state.
As the light died down the silhouette of my new creature. It had not looked much light a monster, more like that of a man. It looked like a regular man roughly 6 ft tall and in his mid twenties. His hair looked like that of the lightning fang tiger, yellow with sapphire blue strips. His hair was roughly shoulders length and was tied in a wolfs tail style. But what was more surprising were the two tiger ears that were atop his head. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t craft a monster or anything like one, but instead I had created a tiger beastman.
His clothes were that of the eastern nations known as a hakama. The color was mostly yellow with black patterns decorating it. Atop the right should was a shoulder plate that looked like it was the head of the lightning fang tiger without its two long fangs. At his hip were two katanas that were almost identical to the [Twin Swift Katanas] that were used to craft him.
“So you must be my new master. Of is it more appropriate to call you my creator?” (Beastman)
Before I could say anything suddenly the screen used in the [Card Craft] skill appeared right in front of me, only this time it had a text written on it.
[With the use of the soul card a second time the user has gained the skill Character Appraisal]
- This skill allows the user to see all basic information that make up any living being.
Before I could regain my composure I had not been gifted with a brand new skill. Skills were not that easy to acquire. It would usually take people many months if not years to teach themselves certain skills. But just like that I had gained even more power.
“Oh ho, it looks like you’ve gained a new power there master. I’m interested in seeing what you’re able to do. How about you try it on me?” (Beastman)
Not really sure how to process this situation I decided to go with the flow and try out the new skill I just acquired.
“Character Appraisal!” (Arin)
I shouted the skill name and like that a new screen appeared in front of me, only this time it showed me information of beastman almost as if I was reading his information as a card.

What I was looking at was more then I could ever possible imagine. His physical stats and skill were higher and stronger then anything I’ve ever even heard of before. Not only that but he was a rare race of beastman defending from tigers and was a topping rank 8. With him by my side there was no telling the kinds of things I could accomplish. And just like that I had acquired a strong new companion to fight along side of.
