Soul Card [Armament]
Liza with her new found weapon was easily able to defeat one of the many Geo Golems in one fell swoop. You could see the confidence in her eyes as she was relishing in the victory.
“Did you see that zombie man? What do you of that?” (Liza)
“Idiot! Don’t lose focus now.” (Arin)
While Liza was relishing in her fresh kill three more Geo Golems began rolling at her with great speed.
“Look out!” (Arin)
I was able to push Liza out of the way just in time, before the Geo Golems could strike. Our bodies tumbled together with us ending up with me on top of her.
“Damn that hurt. Hey Liza are you good?” (Arin)
“What… um, yeah I… I’m alright.” (Liza)
Liza’s face was visibly flush, but aside from that she looked like she was unharmed. Quickly after getting up the Geo Golems continued their assault.
“Pebble I need strong weapon.” (Arin)
With my command Pebble used his [Body Transformation] to take on the form of a giant stone fist and attacked himself to my arm. Just as one of the Geo Golems rolls in my stone fist collided with it, knocking it back into the other Geo Golems. That attack was nearly able to take all of the Geo Golems down. The ones that survived were slowly moving around, trying to recover.
“Now’s our chance. Liza lets finish them off.” (Arin)
“Ri… right. I’m on it.” (Arin)
With both Liza and I gaining our momentum back we were able to finish off the remaining Geo Golems without much struggle. By the end of it all the two of us were able to take down twenty Geo Golems total.
“Was that the last of them?” (Arin)
“Yeah, I think so.” (Liza)
“Finally. I think I’m starting to see why your dad was worried about bringing you here. Those things just kept coming.” (Arin)
“It’s not like I asked for this skill. Forget about that now. What was that with your tiny golem there? How did you pull a living creature out of a card? Looking at how you were fighting with it it’s no ordinary golem either.” (Liza)
Right I forgot. Right before the fight Pebble came out of nowhere right in front of Liza. Now that things were settling down of course she would want to know what was going on.
“Isn’t it rude to ask about another adventurers abilities. And if we’re talking about stuff like that, what was with that hammer of yours. I didn’t see you take it out of a card, and you weren’t carrying it around before so what’s up with that?” (Arin)
“Why should I have to tell you when you won’t answer my questions huh? Don’t be unreasonable you jerk.” (Liza)
“What’s with the insults now, I thought we were suppose to be a team.” (Arin)
“Sorry to interrupt you two but I just finished up on my end.” (Raiden)
With all his enemies defeated Raiden had walked back to us, barley hurt at all.
“Oh yeah Raiden, you alright.” (Arin)
“No need to worry master. Thankfully it was only fifty of them of the annoying bastards. I might have had to use more then 40% if there were a hundred of them but I was lucky to avoid that.” (Raiden)
“”FIFTY!!!”” (Arin & Liza)
Fifty Geo Golems taken down singlehandedly by Raiden and he still didn’t use his full power. I’m starting to worry what kind of enemy would require him to go all out.
“Forget about the monsters for a second. Are you going to explain how you summoned that golem or not?” (Liza)
This girl was unrelenting. She seems to be pretty thick headed. I doubt our conversation will go anywhere unless I tell the truth.
“Fine, but it’s a pretty long story.” (Arin)
In the end I told Liza all about how my soul card can create monsters and how because of that I could have them shift back and forth from card form. Liza was extremely shocked after that revelation. I had never seen someone’s jaw drop so low as it did with hers.
“Are you kidding me! The power to make monsters and have you control them! I’ve never heard of such a broken ability!” (Liza)
“I’m hoping you can keep me power a secret. I don’t know the full potential of the [Character Card] yet but I feel like there would be those that would want to take advantage of me for it.” (Arin)
“Yeah I’m not surprised you would want to be cautious about that. When someone with a rare soul card appears people tend to try and manipulate them into doing whatever they want.” (Liza)
“Is that the same reason why you’re cautious about revealing your skill there?” (Arin)
Liza looks down at her hammer still in her hand. As she loosens her grip the hammer dissipates into light, leaving nothing behind.
“That’s right. My unique skill is related to my soul card [Armaments]. My soul card can basically craft any weapon or armor I want. It has no specific limitations like only being able to craft one specific set of gear. And with my unique skill [Armament Materialization] I can summon a copy of anything I’ve ever made using my soul card.” (Liza)
What the hell. Sure if looking at both cards my [Character] card was the more impressive one but being able to use any weapon or armor the user has crafted before is incredibly overpowered.
“With a power like that why wouldn’t you be strong enough to handle this place on your own, even with all the monsters swarming you?” (Arin)
“You would think that but the only thing I’ve ever crafted was that war hammer from before. That’s why I need to get more experience to acquire more copies of my soul card. Until I create more weapons this is the extent of my current abilities.” (Liza)
Right that would be a problem. Even though she has her unique skill, without the proper requirement it can be very restrictive early on.
“Excuse me master but what is it that Pebble is doing right now?” (Raiden)
As we were having our conversation Pebble had walked away from us, and was becoming curious with one of the defeated Geo Golem now laying lifeless.
“Pebble, what are you doing?” (Arin)
Pebble began burrowing into the shattered body of one of the Geo Golems, throwing away stone after stone until a a silvery-blue stone had become exposes. Pebble pulled out the mysterious stone and was now holding it in his hands.
“Oh my god, is that mithril! Thanks one of the rarest metals you can find here.” (Liza)
"To think it was inside that Geo Golem. Looks like we were pretty lucky.” (Raiden)
“Nice going Pebble.” (Arin)
After a moment of admiring the mithril Pebble started to press it against his chest and almost instantly the stone had phased into his body until it was fully engulfed.
“WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!!!” (Liza)
Liza voice startled Pebble and in response Pebble’s body began to change colors, now become very similar the how the mithril had looked.
“Master doesn’t that look like…” (Raiden)
“It does, although I have no idea how or why.” (Arin)
From all appearances Pebbled now changed from his stone body into that or mithril. This could only mean Pebble must have learned a new skill. One never before seen skill at that.
