At the End of the Wax Museum Gothic Romance & Wax Museum | JP & EN
The 1930s. A gentleman and a lady are walking together through a wax museum. The nature of their relationship is not yet quite clear.
The exhibits begin with ordinary, familiar scenes — the sort that might bring an involuntary smile. As they venture further inside, however, the displays gradually become more fantastical.
At last, they reach the final gallery.
There, they find two wax figures bearing an uncanny resemblance to themselves.
The figures are quietly embracing, as though frozen in a scene from an old romantic drama.
For a while, neither of them says a word. The heroine's gaze wanders uneasily. The gentleman does not move at all.
Almost as though he had arranged the display himself.
……Now then.
What sort of exhibition is this, exactly?
