KLARES TRÄUMEN(明晰夢) ③
I was so sure i had convereted this from 'first person view' to 'third person view' a long time ago, but apparently that was not saved or maybe I am just getting old...
Anyways, I used to write this novel in the 'first person view' but I felt that i could give a clear world view if i do it in the 'third person view' and converted.

KLARES TRÄUMEN(Lucid Dreaming) ③
They say that you learn fast when your life is on the line. For Raul it was his family on the line so he had sped learning process on the skill of Lucid Dreaming from Majou. On the outset Raul may look like a normal boy with average looks but his mental capacity was slightly high for a boy his age at least that was how his younger sister and a few teachers had seen him… that was what he was leaning on to get the power to save my family... He needed to be smart and know the things taught to him by Mahou.
Raul was dead set on learning the skill of Lucid Dreaming even if it lowers his status in school. Tina and Maya (girlfriend and younger sister respectively) were the same grade and went to school and was even the same class as him. Since both are not going to get their grades higher, for Raul it was only fitting that he too does not proceed in the higher grade… There was no point if the three of them could not achieve the same grade.
One might wonder if Maya and Raul were twins but that was not the case. Raul was born on January and Maya on May. Tina was born a month after Maya the month of April and that was why they were on the same grade level. For Raul not getting to the higher rank was not important if the two most important persons for him are not there together with him and so deliberately skipped classes.
Every day Raul went to Majou’s mansion and underwent his lessons about Lucid Dreaming. At first, he too was skeptical about the idea, but desperation had led him to believe in the supernatural. In fact, there was a time when he did try to enter a religious cult just to take that desperation, he tried to pray his way to protect his family. As a country that was religious, he thought it was the right thing to do… or so at least until he found it a sham and left to look for another cradle... and found the mansion with the red roses.
Learning from Majou is what gave him the courage to move on. Others might have considered this use of his time the same as joining the cult or so at least Raul himself thought if not for the results that were finally showing itself in his sleep.
At first, Raul was just seeing a distant world that he could not grasp. Then after few days and nights of repetition he was finally able to control his movements. Well, this would not have been made possible if Majou did not intervene just a little. Majou had slightly tried to calm Raul with a special hypnotic trance.
“Your goal for the week is to learn how to sleep and wake up on your own.” Majou gave him another lecture and he sounded like a teacher too. “For convenience’s sake we shall call the two skills TRANCE and WAKE.”
TRANCE was a skill Raul needed to obtain to allow him to sleep instantaneously and at his own will. Now the tricky part is here. According to Majou dying on the dream is equivalent to dying in the real world. That is the reason why Raul needed another skill – WAKE. Wake to allow him to literally wake himself up whenever he was in a pinch of dying or there are circumstances that need him to wake up.
However, as of the moment Majou is using a ‘Hypnotic Trance’ to allow Raul to sleep so that he can recognize the dream world. This was crucial. Had Majou just let him do it on his own, he would have been frustrated to the point of calling it another scam and quit. He would go to another cradle or start doing nothing… giving up on both May and Tina and his own life. Raul then was able to enter Majou’s dream and was able to recognize the dream world.
The ‘Hypnotic Trance’ also came with a hypnotic suggestion to wake up when he is asleep in the dream. Basically, Raul when he sleeps in the real world he awakes in the dream world and when he is sleeps in the dream world he awakens in the real world. This was the automatic suggestion that was implanted on him for the purpose of training.
According to Majou the time in the dream world is twice as fast as in the real world and so Time was against him. That was the reason that Raul had learned the first four phases quite easily, however there was a gap between the fourth and fifth phase it was not as large as the gap between the fifth and the sixth but the gap that he needed required a huge time which he simple did not have. This became evident three weeks after he had started learning Lucid Dreaming.
It was customary for Raul to visit the hospital before heading for Majou’s mansion.
“Aunt Bella good morning, how are Maya and Tina conditions?” He greeted aunt Bella casually. The person – Aunt Bella, was a healthy woman – mind you HEALTHY not plump. She was in her 30s but still sprouting with elegant and beauty. She used to have flossy black hair, but as the years went by specks of white became evident. To Raul, Tina and May who no longer have mothers and fathers… she was their only Family.
“They are doing fine. I had given them enough fluids to hydrate them.” Raul was grateful for his aunt for having taken care of both Maya and him. Raul would have taken a drastic course had it not for aunt Bella who had gone through all the trouble to take care of them not just before the event but also after it. “How about you, how are you holding up?”
Aunt Bella is the younger sister of our mother’s side. After the plane crash that took away his, Maya and Tina’s parents. Bella took both him and Maya under her care, she handled all our needs and even made sure that we could get in a decent high school to prepare us for the rest of our lives.
Tina on the other hands had a few relatives, but none who could take her in their wings, thankfully her late parents had left her with enough money to last her until she can move about on her own. So, from time-to-time she would come to our place and eat with us. That is why, all four of them could simply say -They were a Family.
“I am fine, I just need to be calm and just do what I can do.” Raul gave out a calm and clear answer which somehow made aunt Bella smile, she must have sensed that he was nothing compared to the early days when all he could do was tear up whenever he was on the hospital. Aunt Bella then left him to have private matters with the two.
“Just a little while longer, I will be sure to come to you.” He was not just saying it for the two of them he was also saying it to assure himself.
But… as if the gods of drama had heard those words, a loud erratic beep was heard from Tina’s console and she was now coughing blood.
“Someone, help!?” Raul panicked but instantly shouted to call for help.
The doctors begun to busy themselves, it begun with Tina’s console but after a few minutes a few more consoles also creaked the same loud erratic beep. Raul was sent outside, aunt Bella wanted to console him, but time was of the essence. He only bowed towards all the doctor and Aunt Bella.
“Please take care of them…” a pint of anxiety could be heard from his courageous front, the doctors who saw him nodded.
“They are family. I will do what I can…” Then she entered the room.
Raul did not know how or when but he had unconsciously dashed towards the mansion. He did not have the time --no there could be no more time. Something must have happened to Tina and he needed to act now.
As soon as Raul arrived to the mansion, without waiting for Majou, he immediately went to the room where his DREAM DRIVE DEVICE was placed. He with Majou’s recommendation brought the interface known as DREAM DRIVE DEVICE in this mansion. According to Majou it would be easier to synchronize to 11 Gates if he would wear it, like some type of self-suggestion to allow him to easily think and focus on 11 Gates.
“I have to try it or else I will lose the only family I have.” I then donned the device on his head and forced a TRANCE.
