KLARES TRÄUMEN(Lucid Dreaming) ①
After spending a night of soft tears flowing from his eyes, Raul finally slept… more accurately he finally woke up. After sleeping on that island, his consciousness had dragged him back to the real world.
He had the familiar head gear-like interface from the mega-corporations eMnemosyne Worl’s ‘DREAM DRIVE DEVICE’. However, there was no power to it, after all the battery was forcefully taken out so that it would not turn on of its own while he was asleep.
“So did you get to where you wanted to go?” a voice without hostility and somehow very soothing came from at the back of Raul.
“Majou-sensei, could you please not enter stealthily like that!” Raul could only show his dismay after being sneaked upon just like always.
This man… who was for some reason wearing an over-all black dress is called Majou, a mysterious man who in the time of Raul’s need approached him and lend him a power that could save his one and only sister Maya and childhood friend Tina.
His meeting with this man called Majou kept him wondering if it was really a coincidence or perhaps the inevitable and for the years to come he will forever continue to think that way.

Raul first met this man while he was staggering past 7th Avenue Street where a lot of people have gathered to listen to the news. Even though it has been the same news for a week now, it still was fresh to him and the dozen people that watched it. It was the same news every day, every night. It was flashed on the televisions, aired on the radios, whether one chooses to hear and watch it or not.
News Caster Channel 3: 13 Million people around the world continue to slumber as the new bioterrorism has created a virus that can afflict people through visual contact with a computer.
News Caster Channel 5: This new act of terrorism has rendered 13 million people around the world with motives only known to the terrorists. There have been no demands written or verbal from the said terrorists.
News Caster Channel 23: As of now the families of the 13 million people from around the world has held eMnemosyne World Corporation', creator of the very first VRMMORPG '11 Gates' responsible.
Raul could also see in one of those 32 inches flat-screen TVs an interview with one of the designers and creators from ‘eMnemosyne World Corporation’ speak on international TV on one of the channels while he was going to a certain place.
Kawaguchi Nobuhiko: It is true that we created the game but, as far as the terrorist acts it is far from our hands... but rest assured together with the medical teams around the world, we will uncover this mystery and wake the 13 Million people from this terrorist nightmare.
The boy could only click his tongue as he continued to listen to all the news.
What was the fuss all about?
The headline was dated late on the 12th day of December of the year 2015, a day everyone would remember as 13 Million people across the world got trapped in a virtual world, the world of ’11 Gates’, one of the successful Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG). Even with the precautions and safety mechanisms the prestigious company had installed in its devices, one act of terrorism had toppled the game, and greatly diminished the popularity of the so-called mega-corporation that had placed a certain computer software company second for the first time in ages.
The boy’s name is Raul Panaginip, he is 16 years old and supposedly in his 1st Year of High School.
…Supposedly? Maybe you’re curious if the boy is one of the 13 Million people who got trapped in 11 Gates, He could only wish that he was indeed one of them.
Those words should not to be a mistake as an act of will to be trapped and become a hero to save the day, but, instead, those words are of someone who wished to be there so that he could comfort his girlfriend and protect his only younger sister.
Yes, his girlfriend and younger sister fell victim to this vile act of terrorism and are now in the hospital, the ‘Dream Drive’ gears still worn on their heads, bodies riddled with dextrose and wires connected to other machines, where most of them he has no idea what was for.
Raul could only keep cursing under his breath as he kept thinking about what they are going through while they are in a state of coma.
According to the creators of the game, the 13 Million people who are trapped inside the world of 11 Gates are indeed continuing to play the game. they have monitored it but are unable to communicate with them even with their advanced technology.
Although possible, access to the world of ‘11 Gates’ using the ‘Dream Drive Gear’ has been blocked until they have found a way to wake the so-called comatose gamers. And because of that, Raul has been unable to dive towards the world where my younger sister and my girlfriend are.
With more pressing matters to attend to, Raul had decided to stop going to school and did what other families were doing, to get their families back to their arms.
There were not that many options one can do to be of real help… some families had gone to court and filed cases against 'eMnemosyne World Corporation' to demand financial aides, some families who had doctorate or nursing backgrounds helped with taking care of the trapped patients… others, well others can only cry, wait, and pray till their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and friends wake up. As for Raul’s family well, he and his sister had been orphaned and has been taken care of by their aunt (who did the second option by the way). And his girlfriend who has had the same situation with him and my sister is the only family he had left.
The third option was the only thing one could do to be of help. Or so at least that was what he thought at first until about 5 days after the event there have been cases of patients dying due to some unknown reasons. They could have been killed inside the game or perhaps their bodies have stopped functioning due to lack of activity. At any rate, deaths have begun rampant after the week passed
And Raul was not about to do the third option no matter what. There was no way that he could do nothing while waiting for the news that his younger sister or his girlfriend has died.
Well actually, with not much choice he did the third option up until last week… and even went and gone crazy and almost ended up joining a suspicious cult just so he could try to pray his way out. Yeah, even Raul knew he had just lost it.
Well not until he accidentally got acquainted and got involved with a ‘witch’… erm… he’s male so a warlock… … well, the name for his kind does not matter, what did matter is that he was my ticket to saving his girlfriend and younger sister.
