4-5 “Envy not success, nor pity failure”
4-5 “Envy not success, nor pity failure”
--------------------
> Judge not, then, the karmic path walked by another. Envy not success, nor pity failure, for you know not what is success or failure in the soul’s reckoning. Call not a thing calamity, nor joyous event, until you decide, or witness, how it is used. For is a death a calamity if it saves the lives of thousands? And is a life a joyous event if it has caused nothing but grief? Yet even this you should not judge, but keep always your own counsel, and allow others theirs.

Even if you experience what appears to be failure, there is absolutely no need to give up on yourself or sink into feelings of helplessness or guilt.
What is truly failure, and what is truly success, cannot be known right away. In a deeper sense, this distinction becomes clear only at the end of one’s life.
There is a saying: *“Difficulty brings growth to the soul; comfort brings stagnation.”*
What looks like failure from a worldly perspective may, in fact, be bringing profound growth to the soul.
Although the circumstances may differ, situations similar to what you now consider a failure will inevitably appear again in your life.
When that moment comes, you are invited to express the highest vision you hold of yourself—the greatest version of who you are—and to move through the experience with that awareness.
Through such experiences, feelings of guilt are released, and you continue to grow into a more conscious, higher expression of yourself.
