> The universe is itself a technology. It is the greatest technology. It works perfectly.

Conversations with God offers a profound warning: a civilization destroys itself when it becomes a product of its own technology rather than the master of it.
A society becomes a product of technology when technological development advances beyond humanity’s wisdom and ability to govern it responsibly. Instead of technology serving human values, human life begins to revolve around the demands and possibilities created by technology itself.
When this happens, technology no longer supports civilization—it begins to shape it, dominate it, and ultimately place it at risk.
Modern medicine has already reached the level of manipulating the very foundations of life through genetic engineering and genome editing. What once belonged only to science fiction, such as human cloning, is now technically conceivable.
Likewise, modern physics has penetrated the fundamental structure of matter, leading to technologies such as nuclear weapons and nuclear energy.
At the same time, rapidly advancing technology, combined with explosive population growth, has placed unprecedented pressure on Earth’s ecosystems. Climate change, global warming, environmental degradation, and the depletion of natural resources all remind us that technological power without sufficient wisdom can produce irreversible consequences.
Today, scientific and technological progress is approaching the limits of humanity’s ability to control it.
The message of Conversations with God is not that technology itself is evil. Rather, it reminds us that wisdom must evolve as rapidly as knowledge. Scientific progress must be balanced by spiritual growth.
Without a corresponding awakening of human consciousness and spirituality, our technological achievements may ultimately become the instruments of our own destruction.
In other words, God warns that if humanity continues to advance technologically while neglecting its spiritual evolution, it risks following a path toward self-destruction.
