心配で、ずっと座っていられないようだった。
→ She kept walking about the room. She seemed too uneasy to sit still.
→ Sie lief ständig im Zimmer auf und ab. Sie schien zu unruhig zu sein, um stillzusitzen.
３．あなたほどの才能の持ち主が世間に知られずにいるのは、惜しいことです。
→ It is a pity that a man of your ability should remain unknown to the world.
→ Es ist schade, dass ein Mann Ihres Kalibers der Welt unbekannt bleibt.
４．朝晩、だんだんと冷えてきました。
やがて、木の葉も赤や黄色に変わることでしょう。
→ It is getting colder and colder during the morning and evening. The leaves of the trees will soon turn red or yellow.
→ Es wird morgens und abends immer kälter. Die Blätter der Bäume werden sich bald rot oder gelb färben.
５．たしかに車は便利だが、結局、高くつく。
→ A car is convenient, to be sure, but, in the end, it will prove expensive.
→ Ein Auto ist zwar praktisch, aber letztendlich wird es sich als teuer erweisen.

→ One night he came home very tired and sad.
→ Eines Abends kam er sehr müde und traurig nach Hause.
７．昨年の今頃は、大雪だった。
→ We had a lot of snow about this time last year.
→ Letztes Jahr um diese Zeit hatten wir viel Schnee.
８．「歯がひどく痛むんです。」
「すぐに歯医者に診てもらいなさい！」
→ "I have a terrible toothache." "You should see a dentist at once!"
→ "Mein Zahn schmerzt furchtbar." "Gehen Sie sofort zum Zahnarzt!"
