The Princess Who Sends Line Messages When She's Too Nervous to Talk
“Uh! I- I’m sorry!”
Kaede realized they were still at the dinner party, and everyone was watching them quietly.
“This is very embarrassing.”
Her cheeks were red, and she looked away.
Her eyes widened as she realized her words. Looking to Mary.
“Not that I am not happy! I’m sorry.”
Mary smiled, still entranced by Kaede.
“It’s okay, I didn’t consider our audience either. But...”
Kiko, Hidetake, and Yuki were still preoccupied.
“I don’t think they mind to much. But, guys?”
They all stopped, looking embarrassed.
“Do you mind?”
Hidetake rubbed the back of his neck. Smiling uncomfortably trying to hide his embarrassment.
“I’m sorry.”
Kiko looked slightly less embarrassed.
“You two are the picture perfect couple, it would be a crime not to capture the moment. You’re amazing material.”
“I know right? Sms is going to light up, Yuri for the win.”
“I really don’t know how to feel about that.”
Kaede was silenced by her embarrassment. Instead, she opted to write to the group LINE thread.
Rika read her message. An ominous aura surrounded her.
“I love your stickers Kaede. But, she’s embarrassed.”
Kiko, Hidetake, and Kiko sat on their knees.
“We are very sorry Kaede.”
Kaede waved her hands, and sent another message.
Rika nodded as she read it.
“This isn’t needed, she’s just not used to how weird you guys are. Well, I added the last part, but you get it.”
“Why did you make us kneel then!”
Rika laughed ominously, then returned to her normal self.
“I saw it in an anime recently and thought it would be funny.”
They all stood up and returned to their chairs, grumbling.
Kaede’s sweet voice floated once again.
“I am flattered, though. And, thank you for introducing us.”
Mary nodded in agreement.
“Thanks everyone.”
Kaede leaned her head on Mary’s shoulder.
“I really like her.”
Kiko and Yuki both gasped.
/Unprecedented!/
Mary was a little startled by Kaede suddenly being so forward, but then took her hand.
“I really like her, too.”
Kiko and Yuki began sniffling.
“This is beautiful, we’re so happy for you.”
“And we didn’t even have to use our top secret plan!”
Keade smiled curiously.
“Secret plan?”
Kiko nodded.
“You two seemed very shy and we were planning to excuse ourselves for a bit, so you could have some privacy.”
“So much for secret!”
Rika swirled around her wine glass.
“It wasn’t that secret to begin with, we knew you two were planning something.”
Hidetake was nodding in agreement.
“Talking behind your wineglasses isn’t that great of cover, it gets noticeable after a bit.”
Kiko and Yuki deflated.
Mary spoke quietly in the awkward silence.
“Well... Thank you anyways Kiko and Yuki.”
They both raised their eyebrows.
“You were being considerate of our shyness, it feels nice that you were rooting for us.”
Yuki and Kiko’s eyes began sparkling again.
Kaede smiled as Mary spoke, adding her own words.
“Thank you.”
Yuki rested her head on her hand.
“Anytime.”
Kiko nodded.
“We’re here to help.”
Hidetake and Rika raised their glasses and nodded.
Mary made eye contact and quickly averted her eyes.
Rika frowned a little and looked away as well.
