Plans to Go to the Beach
“All I’m saying is that art and character design has indeed improved drastically, especially in the past few years. But, often the writing is lacking.”
“I completely agree with that. Though there are exceptions.”
“Very true, but I think more as a whole, taking into account mainstream novels and manga. But, I mean, who doesn’t like cute characters and fan service?”
Yuki lifted her hand heavily.
“I know I do. Especially when the story brings them to the beach.”
“Cheers to that.”
She and Hidetake tapped their cans of beer, and both took large swigs.
“So Yuki. Are you into bikinis or one piece swimsuits?”
“Two words, String. Bikinis.”
Yuki winked at Rika, it was a suggestion for a future date.
“How about you Hidetake?”
“In all honesty, I’m a fan of both.”
“That’s too easy, you have to pick one.”
“In that case, once piece swimsuits. My favorite is when they have a more athletic figure, but still big boobs!”
Kiko coughed a little bit.
“Am I not your favorite then?”
A bead of sweat formed on the side of his face.
“No- I mean yes! I love your boobs.”
Kiko began to scowl.
He felt a nudge in his ribs. It was Yuki signaling to him.
“Move away from boobs.”
He waved his hands.
“You always look amazing when we go to the beach!”
Kiko smiled and nodded approvingly.
“Thank you.”
“A- Anyways, I more into butts, and yours is so big.”
A dangerous aura began swirling around Kiko, and a vein was visible in her temple.
Yuki shook her head as she held it with her fingers. She quietly whispered to Hidetake before the storm that was Kiko’s fury began to rage.
“You messed up.”
“So you like my big butt huh?”
Hidetake was sure he felt an ominous wind began to blow, and the temperature in the room rise.
He began waving his hands, trying to figure out how to salvage the situation.
“I- I uh. It’s not, that, big”
“That, big?”
At that point Hidetake was unsure as to what he should be saying.
“Maybe you like girls more like Yuki? Petite and fit?”
“Well, Yuki is very attractive but-“
Kiko raised her hand so he stopped talking.
“Well, you can watch this woman with a big butt walk home.”
“What?”
Kiko stood up and grabbed her purse.
“I’m not waiting up for you, and locking the door when I get home.”
“I mean like objectively.”
Without a word she turned around and stormed out of the bar.
“Wait!”
Hidetake stood up and ran out after her.
Yuki and Rika were left staring at each other.
“That went poorly for him.”
Rika giggled.
“They’ll make up soon, it isn’t the first time something like this happened.”
Yuki ran her finger along the rim of the can.
“I kind of feel guilty, I brought up the whole swimsuit thing.”
“You two did get into it for a while. It was fun to watch though. But...”
Yuki lifted an eyebrow.
“You didn’t ask my opinion.”
Yuki smiled and nodded as she took a sip of her beer.
“What are your tastes?”
“Well, I prefer bikinis. But, let’s also talk our ideal type of woman.”
Yuki looked at her and raised a hand hesitantly.
“Ground rules first. This is completely honest, no bias, and we can’t get insulted personally.”
Rika swirled her beer around.
“That makes me nervous, but I agree.”
Yuki winked and smirked mischievously.
“You go first then.”
Rika took a deep breath.
“Alright. Petite and athletic, short or at least shorter than me. Pale skin, long dark hair with bangs, and dark eyes.”
“When you say athletic...”
“Muscles, abs, legs, and a toned body.”
Yuki set down her can of Taft’s.
“So, I’m your type? Completely unbiased.”
“Exactly. But, I don’t really know if your muscular.”
“Fun secret, I used to go to the gym a lot.”
“I think we’re going to have to go to the beach.”
“Yes we are. Do you by any chance wear string bikinis?”
“Most of the time.”
“So when do you want to go?”
“Hoooold on. You haven’t said your ideal type.”
Yuki smiled and shook her head.
“It should be obvious. Here goes. Curvy, tall, long blonde hair and blue eyes like a princess. So... You.”
Rika fanned herself with her hand as she blushed.
“You sure know how to flatter a girl.”
“I can’t help it if you’re sexy. But, let’s go to the beach soon.”
Rika winked.
“I’m in. Should we invite Hidetake and Kiko too?”
“Yeah! Let’s make a day of it. It’ll be just like in a manga.”
Rika scoffed and shook her head.
“You and that dirty mind of yours.”
Yuki pointed to herself, trying to be cute and innocent as possible.
“Who, me?”
“Yes you, you’re hoping for us to accidentally get into suggestive situations while I’m in a bikini.”
Yuki covered her mouth with her hands. Rika stared at her with a frank face, seeing through her act.
Yuki propped herself up on the table with her elbows, staring flirtatiously.
“You’re absolutely correct, that is what I’m hoping for.”
Rika leaned over the table and kissed her, which Yuki hadn’t been entirely ready for.
“I know, that’s why we’re going with supervision.”
Yuki sat back in her chair and pouted disappointedly.
“It’ll still be nice, and what kind of swimsuit do you think you’ll wear?”
Yuki huffed, and looked away.
“I’m not telling.”
“Really?”
Yuki smiled bashfully, and winked.
“I’ll leave it to your imagination.”
Rika finished the last of her beer.
“That’s fair. Are we done?”
Yuki looked at her empty can.
“I think so. Can I stay at your place tonight?”
Rika raised an eyebrow.
“You don’t have to ask. It’s also basically your place.”
Yuki’s face lit up as she hopped off of the bar stool.
“I guess I’m not used to it yet. It sounds so nice!”
Rika ran a finger through one of Yuki’s twin tails.
“Well, you should get used to it soon.”
Rika and her left hand in hand.
