Chapter 326 Troublesome Apology
As Aleshia approached the cot, she recognized which patient had awakened, although she couldn't recall his name. The memory of his frantic attempts to escape the bed after waking up, though, resurfaced. She recalled him having made a break for it to leave the room, but he ended up collapsing right after exiting. "Lucia, please ensure this one doesn't try to get out of bed," she instructed. "I don't want him to hurt himself, especially since it happened before."
"Alright," Lucia replied, following her instructions, and began preparing a binding spell on the patient. It did not take long before he started groaning and making feeble attempts to get up.
When the patient awoke and opened their eyes, they slowly blinked away the sleep that was blanketing their eyelids. As their vision began to focus, they saw a wooden ceiling above them. They attempted to rise but found it very difficult to move their body. As their brain became more active, a dull pain began to throb around their arms and legs. Although it didn't hurt too much, the sensation was still an annoyance.
As pain throbbed through his body, he let out an involuntary groan. He realized that his throat was very dry. Despite the discomfort in his throat, he called out for help. "Is there anyone there? Hello, I'm not feeling well right now," he said, his voice gravelly and parched.
Aleshia decided to take it as her cue to respond. "Yes, hello. I'm someone who is here. But please keep your voice down, as it's early in the morning and the kids are probably still mostly asleep." Aleshia walked over and positioned herself directly in the guy's line of sight.
"You look parched; have some water," Aleshia said. However, she realized she didn't have any water or a container at that moment. She looked around and noticed the tray from the previous night. She grabbed one of the cups and filled it with water. She brought the cup to his lips and helped him drink, the water soothing his dry throat.
After the water refreshed his throat, the man thanked her with a clearer voice. "Thank you for your help. I... I think I remember seeing you before," he said, memories of the first time he awoke flooding back. The water helped him think more clearly. "I think I have overexerted myself and collapsed on the floor. I want to apologize for being so troublesome."
Aleshia listened to him and waved off his apology, saying, "Thank you for your apology, but you really don't need to worry about it at all."
