! 昔ながらの父親は、ケモノを受け入れてくれるだろうか ?!

「本当にこの人物を信用できるのか？ 毛むくじゃらだし、今まで見たことのある誰とも似ていないぞ」――オリバーとトレントの耳に飛び込んできたのは、オリバーの父親の、よく響く声だった。「そんな決めつけちゃだめよ」と、オリバーの母親がそれに答える。トレントは落ち着いた様子でオリバーに助けてくれた礼を言い、続いて彼の両親のもとへ歩み寄って謝罪した。オリバーの父親特有の、紛れもない「お父さんらしい」声や小言を漏らすような唸り声が聞こえてくる。（でも、実際にオナラが聞こえることはまずないだろう。）そして父親が「息子を守ってくれてありがとう」と言ったとき、その言葉を聞いたトレントは少なからず驚きを感じた。続いてトレントの父親の声が響き渡り、「もう君を信用するよ、トレント」と告げる。オリバーの母親もまた非常に礼儀正しく、「初めまして、トレントさん」と挨拶をした。これにトレントはさらに顔をほころばせ、「皆さん、本当にありがとうございます。とても親切にしていただいて」と感謝を述べた。家族3人とトレントの間で、もう少し形式的な挨拶や言葉のやり取りが交わされた後、やがて家族はトレントに自宅への滞在を申し出た。今のトレントには身を寄せる場所がなかったからだ。トレントはその申し出に深く感動し、オリバーの方を振り返って「本当にいいの？」と目で問いかけた。するとオリバーは、「いつだって聞いていた通りだよ。『僕の家は君の家』さ。僕の部屋に泊まってもいいんだよ！」と言った。これを聞いたトレントはオリバーを力強く抱きしめ、この家に滞在させてもらう間は、必ずオリバーを守り抜くと誓った。
English version:
"Are you sure that we can trust this person? They have fur, and they do not look like anyone I have seen before" is the words that Oliver and Trent hears, as they hear a resounding voice of Oliver's father. "Do not be judgemental," is what Oliver's mother says in response. Trent calmly thanks Oliver for his help as well, and goes to his parents to apologize. The unmistakable dad noises and grumbling sounds of Oliver's father is heard (though without the trademark fart sound, that you may expect from a father), and Oliver's father says "thank you for protecting my boy," and hearing these words, causes Trent to feel some surprise. The words of Trent's father then echo and say "I trust you now, Trent". Oliver's mom is very polite too, as she says "it's nice to meet you, Trent" This leads Trent to smile more, and says "thank you all, you're so nice." We can have a bit more platitudes and greetings between the three family members and Trent, eventually leading the family to offer Trent to stay at their house as Trent does not have anywhere to go for the time. Trent is very touched by this, and looks to Oliver to see if it's ok, and Oliver says "It's just like I've always heard: My home is yours. And you can stay in my room, too!" Trent gives Oliver a big hug at this and says as long as he's staying with them, he promises to always protect Oliver.
