第7章：この屋敷は狂っている
道中、長く気まずい沈黙が続いた後、私たちは屋敷に到着した。広い庭があり、中に入ると床一面が大理石で覆われ、外のシャンデリアは金色だった。すでに雨が降っていた。
（さて、どうやってここから出よう？あまり時間がかからないといいんだけど。）
「ようこそ、厄介者さん、そしてお連れ様。ところで、厄介者のお連れ様、お名前は？」
ルミミナはドラマ夫人に微笑みかけ、こう答えた。
「ルミミナです。はじめまして。」
その後、私は本当に腹が立った。あの物を探し続けなければならないのに、ここで時間を無駄にしたくなかったのだ。
「もう黙ってよ。うるさいだけじゃない。それに、私たちをここに連れてきたのはあんたでしょ。私は頼んでないわ。ルミミナ、行きましょう。」
傘をさして敷居を越えようとしたその時、葉月が私たちの会話を遮った。
「ルドヴィカ様、お礼にご用意したお料理ができました。」
ドアを開ける前に、ルミミナが私を制止した。
「オーランド、葉月さんは本当に一生懸命作ってくれたのね。お願い、私たちもここで葉月さんの料理を味わわせてもらえないかしら？できれば。」
「ああ、ルミミナ、君の言う通りだ。葉月さんが作ってくれたのなら、もちろん喜んで。お礼にいただくのはありがたい。」
「その意気だ、『おせっかい』、そして『ルミミナ、こちらへ。ダイニングルームへご案内するわ。」
（早く終わってくれ）という表情で、渋々ドラマ様の後について行った。ダイニングルームは広々としていて、上質な木製の椅子が並んでいた。それでも、葉月さんとドラマ様とは数日前に会ったばかりで、彼女たちの真意が分からなかったので、まだ少し不安だった。
「さあ、『おせっかい』、そしてルミミナ、どうぞお座りください。」
予想通り、私はルミミナの隣に座り、ドラマ様は私たちの向かいに座った。
メイド服を着たハヅキが料理を運んできた（料理は上質な肉、寿司、フライドポテトだった）。彼女の表情は相変わらず無表情だったが、あの出来事の後、彼女にも感情があることは分かっていた（とはいえ、料理に下剤が入っているか腐っているかもしれないと少し疑っていたので、彼女が最初に味見をした。幸いにも、まずくはなかった）。
「ルミミナ、食べていいわよ、安全だから。」
「安全じゃないってどういうことよ、うるさい人！」
「ドラマ様、どうして黙らないの？」
「誰がドラマ様だって？うるさい人、無知な馬鹿者！」
「ああだこうだ、あんたの言うことは100％根拠がないわ。」
ルミミナは私たち二人に優しく微笑みかけた。
「オーランドとルドヴィカ、喧嘩せずに食事を楽しみましょうね？」
私たちは渋々頷いたが、まだ不満そうな顔をしていた。だって、あのドラマチックな女が本当に嫌いだったから。

気まずい視線と緊張感に満ちた食事の後、私たちは食べ終えた。
「厄介者とルミミナ」だって、途中で葉月とばったり出くわしたんだもの。一体どこへ向かっていたんだろう？
「私たちは…」
「あなたには関係ないわ。それに、葉月とばったり会うなんてありえない。ただの偶然よ。」
「じゃあ、何か探していたとしても、私には手伝えないわね。」
「ああ、どうでもいいわ。あんたがそんな奇妙な物を見たことがあるわけじゃないでしょ。」
私がそう言った途端、今にも爆発しそうなレディ・ドラマを見て、ルミミナはこう答えた。
「ええと、もし古い黒い本や色付きの晶洞石、それにろうそくを見たことがあるなら教えてください。ルドヴィカ、あなたなら何か知っているでしょう？」
「私の学校の生徒がそういうものを集めているのを見たことがあると思います。彼女は優秀な生徒の一人です。休暇中は生徒会が集まって話し合うのですが、私は優秀な生徒なので当然参加しています。」
（なんて都合がいいんでしょう。まさか私を騙そうとしているんじゃないでしょうね？）
レディ・ドラマの同級生が買い手だった可能性もあると知って、私は驚いた。可能性は低いとはいえ。ヒントをくれ
「でも、それを受け取る前に、お礼に…」
レディ・ドラマは可愛らしい顔で私の方を向いた。
「虫、というか、厄介者ね。あなたの名前はオーランドだと聞いたわ。ねえ、あなたがハヅキを勇敢に守ったのを見たわよ…」
これはすべてレディ・ドラマが何か目的のために仕組んだ策略だとしか思えなかった。彼女のタイプを知っているので、私は思わず立ち上がって
「ハハハ、まさか私が引っかかると思ったの？ 真面目に、何が目的なの？ 私に恋してるの？」
「ちっ、どうして私のことが分かったの？ あなたを私のスタッフとして雇いたいのよ。」
「さあ、ルミミナ、行きましょう。」
「でもオーランド、情報はどうなるの？」
「心配しないで。アカデミーの場所はもう知ってるわ。あの制服と卒業証書で分かったのよ。」それに、彼女の言葉は、彼女がどんな人間なのかを悟り、私の忍耐を限界まで試すには、まさに最悪のタイミングでした。
「バグ、いや、オーランド、よくも私をそんな風に侮辱したわね！」
「ああ、じゃあまたな。」
ルミミナの部屋に到着し、ドアを開けた途端、ずぶ濡れのコートを着て傘を差した男にぶつかってしまった。
「おい、庶民、俺の恋人ルドヴィカが中にいるんだ。漫画にこうやって入るように書いてあったんだ。」
「どけよ。」
「もちろん無理だ。漫画にこうしろって書いてあるんだ。」
（いや、勘弁してくれ。また変な奴か。でもこいつは馬鹿みたいだ。総和も知らないし、ましてや方程式なんて知らない。）
「さて、庶民よ、マンガで勝負しようじゃないか。」

After a long, awkward silence on the way, we arrived at the mansion. It had a large garden, and upon entering, the entire floor was made of marble, and the chandeliers outside were gold. It was already raining.
(Now how am I going to get out of here? I hope this doesn't take too long.)
"Welcome to my home, NUISANCE, and your companion. By the way, NUISANCE's companion, what's your name?"
Rumimina smiled at Lady Drama and replied,
"My name is Rumimina. Nice to meet you."
Afterward, I was really angry. I didn't want to waste my time there since I had to keep looking for those objects.
"Why don't you stop talking? You're just annoying. Besides, you brought us here. I didn't ask to come. Rumimina, let's go."
Before I could cross the threshold to leave with my umbrella, Hazuki interrupted us.
"Miss Ludovica, the food I prepared for the guests as a thank you is ready."
Rumimina stopped me before I could open the Door
"Orlando, Hazuki must have worked really hard. Please, could we stay and enjoy her food? If possible."
"Well, Rumimina, you're right. If Hazuki prepared it, I agree. As a thank you, I'd appreciate it."
"That's the spirit, 'nuisance,' and 'Rumimina, follow me. I'll take you to the dining room."
Reluctantly, with a look of (please, let this be over already), I followed Lady Drama. We arrived. The dining room was very large and spacious with high-quality wooden chairs. Even so, I was still suspicious because we had only met Hazuki and Lady Drama a few days ago, and I didn't know their intentions.
"Well, 'nuisance,' and Rumimina, sit down."
I sat next to Rumimina, and Lady Drama sat down across from us, just as I had predicted.
Hazuki arrived in a maid's outfit and served the food and dishes (the food was top-quality meat, sushi, and French fries). Her face was as expressionless as ever, but after what happened, I knew she did have emotions (although I was a little suspicious of the food because it might have laxatives in it or be spoiled, so she was the first to taste it, and luckily for me, it wasn't bad).
"Rumimina, you can eat, it's safe."
"What do you mean it wouldn't be safe, you nuisance?"
"How can you not shut up, Lady Drama?"
"Who are you calling Lady Drama, you nuisance, you ignorant fool?"
"Blah blah blah, the probability that what you say is baseless is 100%."
Rumimina looked at both of us with kindness and a smile.
"Orlando and Ludovica, please let's enjoy the food without fighting, okay?"
We both nodded reluctantly, still with a resentful look, because I really don't like Lady Drama.

After a meal filled with awkward and intense stares, we finished eating.
"NUISANCE and Rumimina" Because on the way they ran into Hazuki. Where were they going?
"We were going to..."
"It's none of your business. Besides, running into Hazuki was highly unlikely; it was just a coincidence."
"Well, then I won't be able to help you if you were looking for something."
"Yeah, whatever. It's not like you've seen such strange objects."
Rumimina looked at Lady Drama, who was about to explode after I said that, and replied:
"Well, we'd like you to tell us if you've seen an old black book or a colored geode and a candle, please. Ludovica, I trust you'll know something."
"I think I've seen a student from my academy collecting these kinds of objects. She's one of the best, since during vacations the student council meets to discuss matters, and since I'm an outstanding student, obviously I'm included."

I was surprised to learn that Lady Drama's classmate could have been the buyer, although the odds were low. Give a hint
"But before I take them, as a thank you..."
Lady Drama turned towards me with a cute face
"Bug, or rather, nuisance. I heard your name is Orlando. Listen, I saw how bravely you defended Hazuki..."
I couldn't help but think that it was all a manipulation by Lady Drama for something she wanted. I know her type, so I couldn't help but stand up and
"HA HA HA, did you really think I'd fall for it? Seriously, what do you want? Are you in love with me?
"Damn, how did you figure me out? I want to hire you to be part of my staff."
"Well, Rumimina, let's go."
"But Orlando, what about the information?"
"Don't worry, I already know where the academy is. I saw it in that uniform and diplomas. Besides, what she said was the last thing I needed to figure out what kind of person she was and push my patience to the limit."
"Bug, I mean Orlando, how dare you belittle me like that?"
"Yes, see you later."
I arrived at the I opened the door to Rumimina, but as soon as I did, I bumped into a guy in a soaking wet coat and carrying an umbrella.
"Hey, commoner, my girlfriend Ludovica's in there. The manga told me to come in like this."
"Can you move?"
"Of course not. My manga says I have to act like this."
(No, please, another crazy guy. But this one seems like an idiot. He doesn't even know what a summation is, or worse, an equation.)
"Well, commoner, I challenge you to a manga fight."
