第6章：対象物の探索
翌日、ルミミナと朝食をとっていた時、私は素晴らしいアイデアを思いついた。
「ルミミナ、あの魔法の道具って何ていう名前なの？ネットで調べてみようよ。失うものは何もないんだから。」
「呪文を唱えるには、アカデミーで見つけた3つの道具が必要だったの。虚無のポータルの書、異端審問官の苦痛のルーン、そして最適化増幅のロウソク。」
「なんでそんなに長くて大げさな名前なの？テレポートの書とか魔法石とか、もっといい名前じゃない？」
「確かにそうだけど、名前を決めるのはアカデミーの理事長か責任者なのよ。」
「まあ、少なくともあの人たちは注目されたいんだろうね。気の毒だわ。ところで、その本とルーンとロウソクってどんなものなの？」

「この本は少し古びていて、黒い表紙に金の留め金、そして碑文が刻まれています。ルーンは晶洞石のような石でできていますが…」結晶は、持ち主が魔法かマナを持っているかによって異なる色の模様を形成し、ロウソクは半分オレンジ色、半分青色です。
「よし、探すぞ！」
ほとんど見つからないだろうと分かっていたので、あまり乗り気ではありませんでした。長い間探しましたが、何も見つかりませんでした。ところが、不思議なことに、そして都合よく、フォーラムでその本を見つけたのです。私はとても驚きました。
「ルミミナ、これは『虚無の書』と、他に何かあるはず…？」

「探していたのよ！」値段を見て、心臓が止まりそうになりました。

購入ボタンをクリックした途端、予期せぬことが起こった。先に進めなくなってしまい、やり直そうとしたら「売り切れ」と表示された。
「いや、いや、いや！くそっ！そんなはずない！もう誰かが買ってしまった！まさか！こんなこと私に起こるなんて！」
しばらく試行錯誤した。ルミミナは困惑した様子だった。
「オーランド、どうしたの？」
「ルミミナ…もう売れちゃったんだ！」
どうしていいか分からない顔をした。正直、本当に分からなかった。あと一歩だったのに、結局は手遅れ。なんて悔しいんだ！アプリって、ほんの一瞬で人を騙すんだな。
「ルミミナ、いい考えがあるんだ。私たちが会ったあの草原に行ってみよう。君が現れたあの草原に。もしかしたら、あの物体は近くにあるかもしれないよ、そう思わない？」
「うん、行こう。きっとあるよ。」「ありがとう。」
曇り空だったので傘を手に、私たちは家を出た。

草原に着くまでに、バス停や小さな商店をいくつか通り過ぎた。そこで、お菓子と飲み物が入っているらしい袋を持った葉月が立っているのが見えた。
「見て、オーランド、葉月がいるよ。」
「ああ、よかった。」

歩き去ろうとした時、振り返ると、フードを被った二人の人影が葉月に近づいてくるのが見えた。遠くから声が聞こえた。
「メイド、全部渡せ。お前のボスは長い間俺たちをひどい目に遭わせてきた。抵抗するな、さもないと刺すぞ。お前の体で償わせてやる。」
男たちはナイフとハサミを取り出し、葉月に近づいた。葉月は汗をかき、震えながらその場を立ち去った。
「オーランド、私たちは…」何かをしなければ…
しかし、ルミミナが言い終わる前に、私はすでにあの忌々しいチンピラの一人の背後に回り込んでいた。二人に強烈な一撃を食らわせ、反応する間もなくガントレットを起動させ、こう宣言した。
「アセンディング・エレクトリック・ボルト！」
二人は50ボルト、0.01アンペアの電流を受け、ゴミのように地面に倒れ込んだ。ルミミナは身を守った。
「奴らが私に勝てる確率は0%だった。」さらに、私は彼らの攻撃の軌道と角度を計算した。 「情けない奴らだ。」
ルミミナは驚いて私に抱きついてきたが、ハヅキは相変わらず無表情で状況を理解しようとしていた。少し怖かった。
ルミミナと一緒に立ち去ろうとしたその時、高級車が近づいてきた。誰だかすぐに分かった。まったく、迷惑だ。
「ルドヴィカさん、彼がこのバカどもから私を助けてくれたんです。」

「まあ、この厄介者め、仕方ないわね。運転手、ボディーガード、そいつを車に乗せろ。」
私が立ち去ろうとした時、突然ボディーガードが私の行く手を阻んだ。
「もう言ったでしょ、どけ！」
しかし彼は動こうとしない。私は争いたくなかったので、ルミミナを守るために渋々同意した。
ルミミナを隣に乗せて高級車に乗り込むと、前にはルドヴィカとハヅキがいた（なんとも気まずい）。
「よし、運転手、エンジンをかけろ。さあ、お前、この厄介者め、豪邸に住むってどんな感じか思い知るがいい。」「確かに。」
「はいはい、黙ってろ。」
そして車は街に向かって走り出した。

"Well, at least I know those people want attention. I feel sorry for them. But changing the subject, what are that book, rune, and candle like?"

I started researching with low enthusiasm because I knew I wouldn't find most of it. I searched for a long time and didn't come across anything until, very mysteriously and conveniently, I found the book on a forum. I was very surprised.

When I clicked the buy button, something unexpected happened. It wouldn't let me continue, and when I tried to restart, the word SOLD appeared.

I tried for a while. Rumimina seemed puzzled.

We left the house, but with umbrellas in hand since it was a cloudy day.

Before reaching the meadow, we had to pass through some bus stops and small shops. There I saw Hazuki standing with a bag that seemed to contain candy and drinks.

As we walked away, I turned around and saw two hooded figures approaching Hazuki. From a distance, I could hear:
"Maid, give us everything. Your boss has treated us badly for a long time. Don't resist, or we'll stab you, and you'll pay with your body."
The men pulled out a knife and scissors and approached Hazuki. She seemed to be sweating and trembling as she walked away.

But before Rumimina could finish, I was already behind one of those damn thugs. I delivered a powerful blow to each of them, and before they could react, I activated my gauntlets and declared:

Rumimina was surprised and hugged me, while Hazuki was still processing everything with that blank expression. It was a little scary.
But just as I was about to leave with Rumimina, a luxury car approached. I already knew who it was. What a nuisance.
"Miss Ludovica, he saved me from these idiots."
"Oh, wait, you're... YOUR NUISANCE."

I got into the luxury car with Rumimina beside me, and in front of us were Ludovica and Hazuki (how awkward).

And the car started moving toward the city.
