21. Hail King of Robots 機械王万歳
Junta and Xiaomeng went to New York for a conference at Columbia University on combining magic and technology to improve security and cultural exchange between heroes, and met many other local heroes, including a group of four heroes wearing samurai armor that made their appear like turtles or the creature kappa from Japanese myths.
純太と小夢がコロンビア大学で行われた「魔法と技術を統合して安全向上勉強会兼英雄間文化交流会」大会議に参加して、多くの現地の英雄達と出会った、例えば侍鎧を身に纏った日本神話中の河童とか瓶に似てた英雄４人組を。
It was during the summer period and many of the attendees commented there were many mosquitoes, which was quite odd because they were in the middle of the city.
それが夏に行われて、参加者の間では蚊が一杯との発言が一杯だったが、都会真ん中だから変な話だった。
But the highlight of the seminar was a speech by Chris Robaddon, a technological genius who once worked with major intelligence agencies around the world.
だが、セミナーの焦点は、世界中情報機関と働いた経歴のある科学天才クリスロバッドン博士のスピーチだった。
However, when he started his speech, he only started talking about the frailties of the human body, and the only way for humans to overcome such frailties was to roboticize all of humanity so that it would be rid of all its human weaknesses, human frailties, and useless human drama that was impeding productivity and creating more unhappiness.
だが、スピーチが始まった途端、只人体の弱みに対し述べ、其の人体の弱みを超えるには人類全体をロボット化する事だった。人間の弱点、不幸を招き生産性を低下させる愚かな人間の行いを取り除く事になると。
That was when everyone started to protest and started calling him names, but it was too late.
それで多くの人が抗議をして、彼を批判していたが、もう遅かった。
At the snap of a finger, everyone started transforming into robots. Flesh was replaced by metal and circuitry.
指を鳴らす一瞬で、皆ロボットになってしまった。血と肉が金属、電線と電子回路に入れ替われていた。
Only the ordinary humans. But the Daybreak Heroes who were on standby including Junta and Xiaomeng were not affected.
普通人間だけが影響されたが、待機中の純太と小夢を含める黎明英雄が影響されなかった。
“My sworn enemies, the Daybreak Heroes, always prepared! Now, let’s see the whole world turn against you!”
「わが宿敵の黎明英雄達、いつも準備が出来ている。今、世界を敵に回す体験を味わうがいい！」
“He must have injected some kind of serum into the people through those mosquito like things,” commented Xiaomeng.
「奴が蚊みたいなロボットを使って血清みたいなもの人の体内に注射した筈よ」と小夢が言った。
The people who were converted to robots started attacking the Heroes.
ロボット化された人たちが英雄達を襲い掛かった。
Xiaomeng didn’t hesitate to freeze them solid first before they find a way to change these people back to normal, and then teleported them away.
人の姿に戻す方法が見つかるまで、小夢が彼等を凍り付かせて別場所へ瞬間移動させる事に躊躇わなかった。
Chris Robaddon then started transforming to their old enemy, Belphegor, the demon of sloth, who appeared like an old man in a full red fire-protection suit.
クリスロバッドンが急に、仇敵怠惰悪魔ベルフェゴールに変身した。姿は、全身赤色防火保護具を付けていたお爺さんに見えた。
At that moment, a shadow covered New York City. It was a giant spaceship above them.
その時、ある影がニューヨーク市を覆ってた。とある、巨大宇宙船だった。
It was huge and its shape was like that of a dragon or bird, and the fire coming from its engines made it appear like the fire was coming out of the mouth of a dragon or bird.
大きくて、龍か鳥の様に見えた。ロケットエンジンから噴射する炎のせいで、火と吐息を吐く龍か鳥を思わせる。
It was believed that the ancient shining beings who governed the human beings on Earth moved around in crafts like this, causing the people to believe that their god was a dragon, giving rise to depictions of dragon gods around the world.
人類史古代記録に人類を管理した輝く者共が類似した浮遊船に乗ってたと載っていた。だから、多くの人は神を龍だと勘違いして、世界各地で神を龍として描かれる所が多かった。
Belphegor levitated into the air to go up into that ship, and Junta and Xiaomeng, and the Daybreak Heroes, followed as well.
Belphegor led them to an area on the ship that appears to be some kind of fighting arena surrounded by seats for spectators to witness the fight, like a coliseum, except there was no audience.
ベルフェゴールが宙に漂う様になり、純太と小夢、黎明英雄達も奴の後を追った。奴が彼等をとある闘技場みたいな場所へ導いた。闘技場の周りに客席があるが、観客が居なかった。
“Hahahaha! Didn’t expect all of you to follow me here! This ship will be bringing you away from Earth, leaving your Earth defenceless!”
「はははっは！まさか貴様等が儂の後を追うとはな。此の宇宙船が貴様等を地球から遠ざけて、地球を無防備にするのだ！」
“We still have many of our other allies on the ground!” said Junta.
「地上では味方が一杯いるんだぜ！」と純太が言った。
Junta then created illusions of his elemental transformations and so did Xiaomeng. The others joined in. Belphegor also summoned robotic foot soldiers to counter them in numbers, and the fight took a few hours. Junta even took out the Fang of Fafner sword, but things didn’t improve as well.
Eventually a few hundred heroes coming together in all shapes and sizes covered in battle armor covering their faces, including Junta and Xiaomeng.
That was when one of the heroes announced, “It’s time for all of us to unite as one entity!” He didn’t say this out, but he broadcast his thoughts to the rest of the Daybreak Heroes. “You don’t need to know what to do, just follow my lead!”
純太小夢も元素幻影を作り、他黎明英雄一斉ベルフェゴールに攻撃。ベルフェゴールもロボット兵を召喚し、肉弾戦が数時間長引いた。ファフナーの牙の大剣を取り出しても、埒が明かなかった。
その時、多くの英雄が出てきて、多くも仮面と保護具を身に着けていた。その中の一人が、思想を全部の英雄に心霊的に伝えた。「我々は合体する時が来た！方法を解らなくていい！私の指示を従えばいい！」
At that moment, everybody’s bodies started shining. The rest of them didn’t know what they were doing, since their bodies were moving against their will.
その時、皆の体が光り始めた。何をやってるか解らないが、体が勝手に動き出した。
All of them merged together to form one single entity, one single Daybreak Hero, which was Daybreak Legion, one single hero covered with a PPE, but with the combined power of a few hundred warriors.
皆が一つに合体した。一つの黎明英雄、通称、黎英合神。保護具を身に纏った一人の英雄だが、力が一騎当千。
“Excellent, you came prepared, and so did I!” exclaimed Belphegor.
「よし！準備をして来たじゃねえか！儂もだ！」とベルフェゴールが宣言した。
Belphegor started chanting in another language, and shouted out the word, ‘Legemeton’, and started to transform.
ベルフェゴールが別言語で唱え始めて、急に「レゲメトン」と叫んで、変身し始めた。
His skin started to turn bright red and he started to grow horns out of the left and right side of his skull.
奴の皮膚が血色になり、骸骨左右から角が生え出した。
Coursing through his body was the power of the six other demons of the Seven Deadly Sins, the 72 elite demons who formed the Legemeton, otherwise also known in the English speaking world as the Lesser Key of Solomon. In addition, he started to wield control of the power of his master, Abaddon, the leader of the demons in hell and also his superior in the hierarchy of powerful demons.
全身を迸るのは七大罪別６匹悪魔及びレゲメトンという７２匹精鋭悪魔の力だった。その力も、自分の主、アバッドン、地獄最大の悪魔の力も入っていた。
However, he started screaming as the consciousness of another being fought for control of his body.
だが、別の者かの意識が奴の体を乗っ取ろうとして、ベルフェゴールが叫んだ。
It was Abaddon, who was taking over his body. His red-colored bodysuit was torn apart, revealing a body that was blood red, but slowly turning dark blue, and growing slightly in size.
Once the transformation was complete, Abaddon declared, “I am Abaddon Legemeton, Master of all that you see, and can’t see”.
その体に、新しい意識が乗っ取った。それが、地獄帝王アバッドンだった。赤色保護具がずたずたにされ、体が全身血色だが、ゆっくり藍色になっていて、少し巨大化していた。変身が完成され次第、アバッドンが宣言した。
「吾輩はアバッドンレゲメトン！目に見える物と見え無い物を全部統べる者也！」
