17. Guns and Crocs 銃殺連続事件と頭蓋鰐大剣
Before they could worry about the future of their relationship, another problem popped up. There were an increase of gun shootings in East Asian countries and South East Asia.
二人恋愛関係将来を心配する前、問題がもう一つ。東アジアと東南アジアで銃殺連続事件が急増に。
Gun shootings have been taking place around the world since the gun was invented, in many countries.
拳銃発明以来。世界中多数国家で銃殺相次ぐ。
In the US, there were many cases of mass shootings where the shooter later shot himself, which led to the debate on gun control to reduce gun violence which may cause certain groups of people to end up to lose access to guns for self-defence.
米国で自分を銃で撃つ前に多数銃殺事件が多数で、銃販売抑制法律に関し論争が絶えず中だが、一方で自己防衛を要する者も自己防衛用拳銃を手に入れず無防備の罠に陥って仕舞う。
The percularity of the recent cases have led Junta and Xiaomeng to search their memories, and found that there was a similar case during the Cold War era.
最近の連続事件で純太と小夢も自分の記憶を検索し、冷戦時代の類似事件を思い出した。
There was an enemy called Zugaiwani, who wore a military costume, a skull mask, and wore many skull-themed emblems around the military costume he donned. He was difficult to kill, and wielded a powerful sword called “Crocodile Claymore”. And he his powers were believed to have come from Beelzebub, the demon of gluttony.
頭蓋鰐という敵が軍用服装及び髑髏仮面を纏い、軍服全体髑髏テーマのロゴだらけだった。殺し難いし、鰐大剣という大剣を振るってた。力の源は恐らく、強食罪悪魔のベルゼブブだそうだった。
Junta and Xiaomeng equipped themselves with more bullet-resilient PPE and prepared to search for him.
純太小夢が防弾性保護具装着し、奴の捜索に準備を。
Just as there was another report of mass shootings again, their team of agents, who were actually the SWAT Team specially managed by Seishokai University, managed to locate the shooter.
又大量銃殺事件報道があると同時に、管轄下のエージェント達、則ち星晶会直属のSWATチームが、狙撃手の位置を把握出来た。
However, the shooter was just an ordinary person and it seemed that he was possessed by a spirit who caused him to carry out the shootings.
然し、狙撃手は普通人間だそうで、何等かの霊に憑依されたから銃殺を繰り返していた。
Xiaomeng then started to chant a spell to expose the invisible enemy.
小夢が透明敵を暴こうとして呪文を唱え始めた。
Another one of the agents were suddenly possessed and suddenly took his gun to try and shoot them, and that was when Xiaomeng finished the chant, and the invisible enemy was exposed and took physical form.
エージェントのもう一人が突然憑依され、自分の銃を取って同僚を狙おうとしたが、小夢が丁度呪文を唱え終って透明敵が暴かれ実体化した。
Just as they expected, it was Zugaiwani. He looked exactly like he did many years ago when they defeated him during the Cold War.
思った通り、頭蓋鰐だった。冷戦時代で倒した時と同じ姿だった。
“Long time no see, Legends! Did you miss me?” said Zugaiwani. His face could not been seen behind the mask, but it was not hard to imagine the smirk on his face.
「お久しぶり！会いたかったか！」と頭蓋鰐が言った。仮面の下で顔が見えず、似非笑いが想像し難い物ではなかった。
“You bastard! So you were resurrected together with your gang?”
「貴様！仲間と一緒に復活したか！」
“Stupid question! Yeah! Lord Ivanov resurrected us, and we will create chaos on Earth again!”
「愚問ね！イヴァノフ様の手により復活させられ、再び地上で混沌を生み出す！」
Junta activated a spell to teleport the agents away so that they won’t get injured or killed.
純太が、エージェントの命を助ける為に、瞬間移動させる為の呪文を唱えた。
Zugaiwani summoned the sword “Crocodile Claymore” to appear in his hand. The sword had a shape that resembled a crocodile’s body, but it was very large and could easily cut large beasts into half. And they were fighting against two humanoid supernatural fighters protected by specially enhanced PPEs.
頭蓋鰐が、「鰐大剣」を召喚し、手元に現れた。その大剣の形は鰐の図体に類似した物だが、余りの大きさで巨体魔獣を一刀両断するにも造作もない物であった。相手は保護具装着中の人間二人超人格闘者達だった。
Junta used the Fang of Fafner to counter his attacks, and the battle went on as a stalemate for hours. Junta continued to summon illusions of himself holding the Fang of Fafner and commanding different elements to strike Zugaiwani again with attacks comprising of each of the elements.
純太がファフナーの牙で頭蓋鰐の攻撃を防いで、数時間が経っても埒が明かなかった。純太が自分とその大剣の姿をした幻影を作り、各幻影に各元素の力を賦与し、各元素の力を持ち合わせて頭蓋鰐を一斉に攻撃させた。
It was after a long time which was when Zugaiwani started to crack, and the transformed into Beelzebub, a human-sized humanoid housefly monster, with four arms and two legs, and a pair of red bug-eyes, and a pair of translucent insect wings.
長い間が経ったら頭蓋鰐に罅が割れ始め、半透明の翼のついた四手二足人間姿をした蠅ベルゼブブに変身。
However, his right top-most arm was still holding the Crocodile Claymore.
だが、上右腕は未だ鰐大剣を持っていた。

純太がファフナーの牙を使って攻撃を防いで、格闘に埒が明かなかった。各 純太が自分のファフナーの牙を持った姿をした幻影を召喚し続け、ベルゼブブを繰り返して攻撃し続けた。
Meanwhile, Xiaomeng was trying to find some way to use the Silver Witch Sealing Ritual on him. She was creating a magical circle on the ground and trying to make sure Beelzebub steps on it.
But he spotted it and disabled it.
同時に、小夢は何とかして銀色魔女封印儀式を奴に掛けようとした。魔法陣を作ってベルゼブブをあれに踏ませようとした。だが奴がそれを気づいて、無効化させた。
It turns out that Beelzebub was still too strong to be immobilized and finished off with the final strike of a weapon.
移動不可にし最後の一撃で止めを刺すのにベルゼブブが強過ぎたのは確かだった。
Xiaomeng summoned a blizzard to freeze him, but he broke free, but that was when she was able to use the Silver Witch Sealing Ritual to seal him as she was able to position the magic circle right beneath him.
小夢が吹雪を呼んで奴を凍結させたが、奴が氷を破り自由になったが、それでこそ銀色魔女の儀式を発動させたのも、魔法陣を奴の真下に置けたからだった。
"Thou hast broken the rule of the magical balance of all creation, you shall be destroyed, judged, and tossed into the depths of hell where you shall repent for eternity. Silver Wyvern Judgement!"
「汝、神羅万象の魔法的均衡維持の掟を破り、殲滅の対象として決定され、判決の時が来たれり、奈落の底で悔い改めるが良い！銀龍魔女の判決！シルバーワイバーンジャッジメント！」
Beelzebub started to disintegrate along with the sword and only a lifeless human body was left.
ベルゼブブが大剣と共に分解し始め、命の無い人間の体しか残らなかった。
Only a human body?
人間の体だけ？
It was a human body with no soul inside. It was a homunculus, namely an artificially-generated human body.
魂の無い人体だった。ホムンクルス、則ち人造人体だった。
Apparently some organization was generating homunculi for the spirits of the defeated evil enemies to come back to life this time.
恐らくと或る組織が、敗れた悪の敵を復活させる為に人造人体を作ってたそうだった。
If all the demons of the Seven Deadly Sins have been summoned back through this process, they still had three more to face, namely Belphegor, the Demon of Sloth, Lucifarael, the Demon of Pride, and Satanael, the Demon of Anger.
もし七大罪悪魔がこのように復活させられたら、又３匹がいるぞ。例えば、怠惰悪魔ベルフェゴール、傲慢悪魔ルシファレール、憤怒悪魔サタニエルだったが残っていた。
Both Junta and Xiaomeng went back to Seishokai University, and they ended up working in an event where they had to entertain certain members of the public regarding a new crisis, which was the increase in high profile rape cases by a tycoon in Thailand called Pornthavil (พรถวิล) who was also operating in Japan, whom others also called him ‘Satan in a Suit’, but all those who opposed him had been silenced, either with money or death.
純太と小夢が、星晶会に戻って、と或る危機に関した御客様接待しなければならなかったが、それが、タイ富豪によるハイプロファイル強姦事件だった。犯人は、日本にでも動いていたポーンタウィンだった。人は彼を、「背広姿をしたサタン」と呼んだ。だが楯突こうとした人皆が金か死によって口止めされた。
On top of that, he was also a business partner of also another business criminal from Belgium called Zefier Van Djik also operating in Japan and Southeast Asia at the same time, collecting classified information from different big companies around the world and blackmailing them to pay money to keep their secrets safe. There were rumors that these two had actually entered contracts with devils to secure their power, making them untouchable by the law.
その上彼も日本や東南アジアで活躍していたゼフィアヴァンダイクというベルギー人という商業犯罪相棒がいて、彼が、世界中大手会社の秘密情報を収集し秘密を漏出させると脅し情報を保持する為にその会社達がゼフィアの会社データバンクヴァンダイク社にお金を出す様に要求してお金を貯めて積み上げてきた。奴等二人が、権力を確保する為に悪魔と契約に入ったから法律で裁かれないという噂が有った。
On top of them, they also had a link with another technological giant, Chris Robaddon, a technological genius who was a master of robotics, and technological research and an independent outsourced contractor of major organizations around the world, such as governments, mafia, terrorists, and major companies. Even when the other Daybreak Heroes have been fighting evil all over the world, they managed to stay untouched and undetected even by the Daybreak Heroes team for so long because they kept a low profile and there are almost no witnesses and no evidence of their crimes, making it impossible for them to take action.
その上、もう一人技術大手業者クリスロバッドンと連携をした。クリスロバッドン。クリスは技術天才でロボットを作ってロボット制作研究、そして大手会社の為に独立請負業者として働いていた。大手会社、例えば、政府機関、マフィア、テロリスト、一般的予算豊富大手会社が一般的顧客だった。黎明英雄達が世界中悪と戦ってた時、奴等の存在が悟られず触れられずにいた理由は、大人しくしていて、犯罪に対し証人も証拠も無かったので、法律執行者でも奴等を捕まえ難かった。
Junta and Xiaomeng recognized them immediately. They adopted different names during the Cold War Era, making them very difficult to trace, and they never found them eventually. Just like the other four they have defeated, they also used the power of the Seven Deadly Sins demons.
純太と小夢が奴等を見れば直ぐに解った。冷戦時代で違う名前で知られていたので、検知不能同然だった。結局行方不明だった。倒した４匹と同様、奴等も七大罪悪魔の力を仕えていた。
But unlike the four they just defeated recently and in the past during the Cold War Era, Junta and Xiaomeng had not managed to catch them at all, and they remained at large even after they defeated Dark Lord Ivanov.
だが、最近も冷戦でも軽々と倒した４匹と違って、純太と小夢が奴等を捕まえる事が出来無くて、前回魔王イヴァノフを倒したとしても、奴等は未だ法律の手が届かない所にいた。
