16. The Sacrifice for Altering History 歴史変更の為の生贄

Su Bin is a married Korean lady.
スビンという、既婚韓国人女性。
She previously had a boyfriend but was seduced by a rich playboy
前に、彼氏がいたが、もっとお金持ちの女たらしの男に誘惑をされて、
and rejected her boyfriend's marriage proposal, and married that playboy lover who later on always cheated on her.
彼氏の求婚を断り、その別の男と結婚したが、いつも旦那様に浮気されじまいだった。
This cheating husband was the heir of a hotel empire chaebol in Korea.
その浮気旦那は、韓国にあるホテル大帝国財閥の御曹司だった。
Since he was rich and handsome, any woman was dying to replace her.

その願いに、とある悪魔が答えた。

The devil whispered to her, "You can control time to take back your happiness."
「時間を操って自分の幸せを取り戻すのよ」と、その悪魔の声が囁いた。
"But first, you need blood. Kill your husband's cheating partners, build up your power, and get the past version of yourself to accept Hyeon Woo's proposal, so that your present day history of killing people will be erased, and nobody will have to die."
「まずは血が必要だ。旦那の浮気相手達をまず殺してしまえ、力を蓄え、過去の自分にちゃんとヒョヌ氏の求婚を受けなさいように過去の自分の命じる、そうすれば、現在の血まみれの現在を消せる！誰も死なずに済む。いいわね。」
That was when Su Bin agreed, and the devil took control of her body.
その時、スビンが承諾して、悪魔に体の主導権を譲った。
A few days later, there was a series of horrific murders of ladies around Korea reported in the news.
そうする数日の後、韓国で女性惨殺が相次ぐ結果に、ニュースに出た。
Junta and Xiaomeng saw this and suspected that this was the work of a demon.
純太と小夢がそれを見て、悪魔の仕業だと疑った。
Xiaomeng said, "That is the work of the Sorceress of Time, Sabina".
「それは時間の魔女、サービナの仕業だ」と小夢が言った。
Junta said, "She apparently resurrected since the Dark Lord Ivanov was about to be revived."
「イヴァノヴ魔王の近い復活によって、彼女が蘇ったそうだ」と純太が言った。
To pursue the Sorceress of Time, Junta and Xiaomeng went to Seoul in Korea.
時間の魔女サービナを追撃する為に、純太と小夢が韓国のソウルへ赴いた。
Many hotels had areas cordoned off by police tape barring entry by unrelated persons, since there were many victims all over the country.
多くのホテルで警察により「立入禁止」と書かれるテープが張られていた。多くの人数が被害に。
However, the crime scenes had some kind of coded message written in the victim's blood, which the police could not decode, so they sought help from Junta and Xiaomeng.
然し、犯罪現場へ行くと、なんとか被害者の血で書かれた暗号されたメッセージが書かれていたが、警察が解読出来無かったので、純太と小夢の助けを求めた。
Junta and Xiaomeng went from site to site, and collected the pieces of the coded message.
純太と小夢が現場から現場へ飛び回って、いくつかの暗号メッセージを収集した。
They assembled the photos and tried to piece them together like a puzzle, and they eventually solved it.
純太と小夢が写真を集め、漸くその写真達をパズルみたいに当ててみると、結局、メッセージがわかった。
It was written in Korean indicating the time and location of a final showdown.
韓国語で書かれていて、対決場所と時間を宣言していた。
The messsage told them to meet at Mount Bukhan.
北漢山の頂上で会おうとの簡単なメッセージだった。
Even in the news, the top of Mount Bukhan was covered in a thick fog that could not be penetrated, causing a number of climbers to go missing.
ニュースにでも、北漢山の頂上が霧に囲まれて接近不能で、登山者数名も行方不明だった。
When they went there, the sky appeared red all over, and there were a number of corpses of people.
行ってみると、空も周りも赤く見えて、数人の死体が見られた。
That was where they saw Su Bin, who was possessed by Sabina, the Sorceress of Time.
そうすると、相手の時間の魔女サービナが憑依してたスビンが目に入った。
"You're finally here! If I defeat you, I will be able to revive the Dark Lord!" declared Sabina.
「やっと来たね！貴様等を倒せば、魔王を復活させる事ができる」と魔女サービナが言った。
"Wait, so you have no intention to grant this girl's wishes?" asked Xiaomeng.
「まさか、この子の願いを叶えるつもりがないのかね」と小夢が聞いた。
"No way! I will borrow her body to go to the past and wipe you out of existence", she said.
「まさか、この子の体を借りて過去に戻って、貴様等の存在を根絶やしにしてやるつもりでね。」
Junta created nine elemental clones of himself and commanded them to attack the Sorceress at the same time.
純太が各９つの元素を司る各９人のクローン幻の元素を作り、一斉に魔女サビーナを攻撃させた。
Xiaomeng also performed the same move and commanded her clones to attach Sorceress Sabina.
小夢も同じ技を展開し純太と同様に、一斉に魔女サビーナを攻撃、銀の魔女の封印という。
Xiaomeng chanted the spell of the Silver Witch, but she was interrupted by the appearance of a knight carrying a large sword.
小夢が、銀の魔女の呪文を唱えた。だが、邪魔が入った。大剣を振るう騎士が現れた。
"I am Zeitgeist, the Sorceress Knight!" declared the knight.
「魔女の騎士ザイトガイスト、見参！」だとみずから称号を発表した。
The ritual was interrupted, and Xiaomeng bled a lot.
儀式遮断により、小夢大量出血。
"Xiaomeng!" Junta shouted out.
「小夢！」と純太が叫んだ。
The Sorceress Knight Zeitgeist was using an inferior copy of a great demonic sword called "Satancalibur", but it was already immensely powerful.
魔女を守った騎士はザイトガイストは、大悪魔剣「サタンカリバー」の複製剣を持っていた。真打じゃなくても、ものすごい威力を持っていた。
That was when Zeitgeist grabbed Sabina by the hand and magically disappeared.
そうすると、ザイトガイストがサビーナを連れて、魔法的にその場を逃げた。
At that moment, the sky at the top of Mount Bukhan was no longer red, but the corpses remained as corpses.
そうすると、北漢山の頂上の赤い霧が晴れた。死体は又死体だった。
Junta had to bring Xiaomeng back to Seishokai University Medical Center for treatment.
やむを得ず、純太が小夢を星晶会大学へ連れ戻す必要があった。
The doctors at the medical center treated her and said she had to rest, but Junta was ordered not to go after Sabina and Zeitgeist on his own.
診療所の先生によれば、小夢が少し休めば助かるんだが、一人になった純太は犯人を追いかけるでないと命令が出た。
"Why can't I go?" Junta vehemently protested.
「なんで行かせないんだよ」と純太が叫んだ。
"The both of you were badly defeated. Imagine if you went alone, how much worse would you fare? Calm down!" his commander scolded. "You need to first find a way to deal with that sword."
「二人だったのに惨敗してしまい、一人だったらどうなるかわかるのか？落ち付け！」と司令が命じた。「まずはあの剣に盾突けるものを探し出すんだ！」
"What would be a good idea?" asked Junta.
「何がいいと思いますか」と純太が聞いた。
"Hyeon-woo-ssi, thank you for saving me", said Su Bin. The Sorceress' evil spirit was correct. If she used this magic, she could make Hyeon-woo loyal to her.
「ヒョヌ氏、助けてくれて有難う」とサビーナが言った。魔女様の言った通り、その術を使えば、あなたが私に忠誠する」と、そのザイトガイストに言った。
"Don't mention it, Sorceress. It is my duty as the Sorceress Knight," said Zeitgeist, who was actually her 'Hyeon-woo'.
「そう気にするでない、魔女様、騎士として勿論の行い」とザイトガイストのヒョヌが言った。
The young and rich philanderer was now a puppet of the sorceress.
若富豪浮気者ヒョヌが、今は魔女の操り人形となった。
They continued to attack more people to consume more of their blood.
そして其の侭、もっと人を攻めて血と気を吸わせるつもりだった。
As per the recommendation of his superior, Commander Hanabishi, Junta proceeded to go to the armory to get an ancient sword called the Fang of Fafner. It was a very powerful sword and it took Junta some time and effort to master it.
星晶会にいる純太は、花菱司令のお勧めにより、武器倉庫にある古い魔剣ファフナーの牙を使ってみるように勧めたが、力にあり触れていたので、使い熟せるには大変で時間がかかりそうだ。
However, he pressed on because he was determined to help Xiaomeng, so he never allowed himself to admit defeat.
だが、恋人を助ける一途の思いに押し出されて、いくら難しいか、負けを認めない覚悟だった。
Eventually, Junta mastered the Fang of Fafner.
結局、純太が、魔剣ファフナーの牙をマスターした。
Junta then visited the same area where they were defeated, and fought with Zeigeist and Sabina again.
純太がやっと又ある新しい被害現場を訪れ、ザイトガイストとサビーナ魔女を挑戦してみた。
"So you have the Fang of Fafner? Looks like you have improved, but you still are no match for our combined powers!" taunted Zeitgeist.
「魔剣？ああ、確かに腕を上げるようになったと思うが、私達の合わせた力に叶えるかな」とザイトガイストが嘲笑った。
"You won't know unless you try", said Junta.
「やってみなければわからないだろう」と純太が言った。
That was when swords clashed and sparks flew.
そうすると、剣と剣が交じり合い火花を作る対戦が切って落とされた。
The battle of desperation bore fruit, which was the shattering of the fake Satancalibur, and Zeitgeist returned to being Hyeon-woo.
必死な戦いの結果、やっとの思いでサタンカリバーを破って、ヒョヌが元に戻った。
Sorceress Sabina was the only one left.
残りは魔女サビーナだった。
She then commanded, “Our great protectors, Lord Mammon! Lord Asmodeus! Avenge us!”
そうすると彼女が叫んだ。「偉大なる守護神達マモン様、アスモデウス様、仇打ちを！」
Sorceress Sabina then transformed into the demon Mammon, the demon of greed, and Hyeon-woo transformed into the demon Asmodeus, the demon of lust.
魔女サビーナが強欲罪悪魔マモンに、ヒョヌが色欲罪悪魔アスモデウスに変身。
Mammon’s skin was blood red, his teeth were sharp needles, and his eyes were ruby red.
マモンの皮膚が血の如く赤くなり、歯も鋭い針の如くなり、目がルビーみたいに。
Asmodeus was a handsome man with bat wings that sprouted from his shoulders, a pair of goat’s horns, and the lower body of a goat, like Pan the Satyr in Greek legends except from the bat wings.
アスモデウスの姿は蝙蝠翼のついた色男になり、山羊の角が額から生え山し、下半身が山羊の下半身になった。蝙蝠翼以外は、ギリシャの伝説に登場するサテュロスをパンの様だった。
Junta raised the sword “Fang of Fafner” sword in the air and summoned lightning to strike his sword and charge it, so that he would be able to handle these two major demons.
純太がファフナーの牙という大剣を振るい、稲妻を召喚する様に大剣に落雷させて充電させれば、二匹大悪魔に対応。
Mammon fired sharp toxic needles from his teeth, and Junta used the sword and vaporized each and every one of them. Junta swung the sword and gave Mammon a hard slash. Asmodeus then suddenly tried to attack him from behind by transforming one of his wings into a long chain with a scythe blade at the end. However, Junta was quick enough to anticipate this, and he used the Fang of Fafner to shatter the blade and the chain. The broken pieces of the chain and blade changed back into his wing.
マモンが歯の間から毒針を発射し、純太が剣で全部一本足りとも蒸発させた。純太が大剣を振るいマモンを大一振りで斬った。アスモデウスが後ろから襲いかかるつもりで翼片方を先端に鎌刃の付いた長い鎖に変形させたが、純太がそれを予測する事に充分速く、ファフナーの牙という大剣でその鎌と鎖を粉砕させた。鎖と鎌刃の破片が彼の翼片方に変形し戻った。
That was when Xiaomeng made an appearance since she recovered.
その時、小夢が回復して現れた。
"Leave this to me!" she said, and started the Silver Witch ritual.
「私に任せて！」と言うと、銀の魔女の儀式を始めた。
"Thou hast broken the rule of the magical balance of all creation, you shall be destroyed, judged, and tossed into the depths of hell where you shall repent for eternity. Silver Wyvern Judgement!"
「汝、神羅万象の魔法的均衡維持の掟を破り、殲滅の対象として決定され、判決の時が来たれり、奈落の底で悔い改めるが良い！銀龍魔女の判決！シルバーワイバーンジャッジメント！」
That was when they were able to vanquish both demons, namely the knight and the sorceress, who were reduced to dust and vanished.
そうすると、二人の悪魔の魔女と魔女騎士を退治する事が出来た。両方の悪魔が本当の姿を現し、塵と化してしま、消えた。
Junta and Xiaomeng were the heroes of this battle, but they eventually had to reflect on the event as if they were the ones doing wrong.
純太と小夢が、二人共犯人でも無いのに、事件の末反省せざるを得なかった。
What if they ended up with someone else before they met and became attracted to each other? Won't their situation be like this as well?
若しお互いに出会い惹かれ合う前に他の誰かと交際中なら如何する？同じ状況に遭ってたかもしれない。
Even though they are now together, how can they be sure that a third party would not get in the way of their relationship?
そして、今両者交際中だとしても、必ず第三者の乱入が入らないとは限らない。
Being physically attracted to each other was not enough. They had to work hard to keep the fire burning in order to deepen their relationship.
物理的に惹かれ合う事だけが足りなかったのだ。もっと相手との関係を深めるに、日々に日々に努力が必要だった。火を燃やさせろ。
In the past, Junta had no power to get any girl, so he was easily grateful to have just one, so he was unlikely to cheat given his lack of cheating potential, and thus, it was impossible to judge whether his tendency to cheat was due to high moral standing and principles, since it was too easy for him to remain steadfast to one.
前に、純太は一人の彼女を獲得する能力すら無かったので、一人獲得しても充分感謝する筈で、浮気をする事が出来ない状況だったので、本当に浮気をするかどうか自分の道徳的概念を過剰評価するは出来なかった。
Fortunately, when they both met, they were both single, so there were no complications.
幸いの事に、二人が出会った頃は、お互いも独身だったので、複雑関係を案ずる必要が無かった。
However, who was to say for certain how things would be in the future?
だが、これからはどうなるから。この世に絶対はなかった。そういう結論でした。
