15. The Prince of Thieves 泥棒悪魔が風を操りスリ犯人増加に繋がる
The wind demon Abigale has granted the power of the wind to a number of youths, so that they could become pickpockets.
風の悪魔アビゲールが、数人の少年に風の力を持って、スリを行う為の力とコツを授けた。
Just after paying the taxi driver and alighting from the taxi to enter the departure hall of the airport, a tourist notices that his wallet went missing. Just a few metres away, a certain youth was grinning with the wallet already in his vest. Along with the young man's laughter was the laughter of a demon. It was Abigale, the Gale Demon. He scoffed, "Just a pathetic 20000 yen."
やっと出国の際、タクシー運転手にお金を払って車から降りて数歩を歩いた後財布がなくなったと気づいた。数メートル離れた所で、ある少年がにやにやして財布を自分のベストの中に入れた。その後ろに、悪魔の声が聞こえた。それは、具風魔アビゲールだった。「多寡が２万円」と罵った。
There were too many cases of pickpockets for the police to handle, so they approached Instructor Junta for his advice.
警官が最近未解決スリ事件多発で困っていたので、純太教授等に相談した。
"I see. So there has been an increase in scams, pickpocketing, and robberies", mentioned Junta.
「そうですか？Cウイルスのよる不景気の為に、色んな犯罪が上がっていた。詐欺、スリ、強盗。」
"That's right. The sigil detector that we got from you was fabulous, Instructor Junta!" said the police officer. "The sigil from the victim's pocket can be seen. I expected it to be a useful clue which you could use to help us investigate further."
「そうです、純太教授殿から貰った印章探知機は抜群です！すられた被害者のポケットから、とある印章が見つかったので、何かの手がかりにつながるかと思って、純太教授に聞いてみようと思った」
Junta looked at that sigil, and recalled something.
純太がその印象を見て、なにか見覚えがあった。
This belonged to the Abigale, the Gale Demon, who was actually the underling of his archenemy, Dark Lord Ivanov.
確かに、俺達の仇敵の手下、具風魔アビゲールだ。
The problem was how to locate the demon, and why he targeted Japan.
問題は本体の悪魔を見つける方法だった。そして、何故技と日本を狙ったのかのも肝心。
When Junta checked his old trousers, he also found the same sigil.
純太が古いズボンを調べてみたら、確かにそのシギルが見えた。
In his past trip to Bangkok, he experienced it when he was about to enter the departure hall to return to Japan. He lost 5000 baht which was the equivalent of 20000 yen. Since it was a short moment before his flight, he couldn't afford to report to the police and risk missing his flight and paying much more than the amount of money in the wallet he lost. And not reporting to the police meant that he did not have any copy of any report which was needed for claiming insurance. Considering the situation, it was not worth it to report to the police and stay back and miss his flight and pay more for a new ticket, allowing the culprit to go scot free.
前にバンコク旅行で、空港で日本帰国しようとした際に出会った。擦られた分のお金はたかが５０００バーツで、出国のフライトに身に合わないそうなので、手間を省ける為に、警察に通報せずにいられて、帰国しても警察通報の証拠もないので、すられた分のクレームも出来なかったじまいだった。出国の際に警察に通報しても、警察に連携され証言記録を取られるとすると、フライトに間に合わず又フライト再予約する必要があり、その費用も刷られた金額を上回る可能性もあったので、結局やる意味もないので、犯人も又法律により裁かれない仕舞いだった。
Abigale was the key culprit of many theft incidents happening in South East Asia, and was one of Dark Lord Ivanov's lackeys.
アビゲールは昔、東南アジアで頻繁に盗難事件を起こしている張本人で、イヴァノヴ魔王の手下の一匹だった。
During the cold war era, both Legend Shahar and Lamona had the opportunity to meet and battle the wind demon Abigale when Dark Lord Ivanov was commiting atrocities all over the place. He created rings that contained his power and sold them to people at a cheap price, and granted them the power to steal anything without leaving a trace, and he could make that ring invisible, making it difficult to detect. Without the gift of might sight, it would be almost impossible to detect.
冷戦時代、イヴァノヴが各地で悪を成していた時、両者が奴と交戦するきっかけが有った。奴は自分の力を指輪に授け人々に安い値段で売り、スリの力を与えていた。その指輪も透明化する事ができたので、非常に探す憎かった。魔法の目が無いと、全然見つけ出すのは大変だった。
Junta and his team patrolled the town and searched around for people holding that invisible ring. They looked into the eyes of different people and used hypnosis to dig the truth out.
純太とチームが町中巡回をし、透明指輪を持っている人を見つけた。この人の目を見ると、催眠術で、情報を引き出した。
The seller appeared somewhere in Shibuya, but did not remain at the same place.
売買者が渋谷のとあるところに出没していたが、位置が一定的じゃなかった。
Junta and Xiaomeng went around Shibuya to search, but could not find him, since he kept changing his location.
純太と小夢があっちこち渋谷探ったが、見つからなかった。場所を変えただそうだ。
"Idiots! You think you can find me? I am the master of wind and also invisibility!"
「バカ、俺様をそう簡単に見つかるか？俺様は風使い以外は透明術の達人」
They shifted their focus to Roppongi where the potential pickpocking loot was expected to be higher.
「場所は六本木だった。大金持てそうな輩が大勢出没、もっとスリ甲斐ありね」。
That was when some light was shone in the area and a certain individual's human face changed to that of a hideous monster-like appearance, and everyone around him started running away.
そうすると、とある光を照らして、人間の顔を被ったアビゲールが、モンスター姿に。そうすると、周りの人が慌てて逃げて行った。
"Hey, don't run away! I'm not a monster..." he said.
「待って！行かないで！私はただ…」
"Damn! What are you trying to do?" the monster scowled.
「おのれ！なにをしやがるんだ！」
"We meet again, Abigale", said Junta.
「又会ったな！アビゲール！」
"You bastards! Hah, I see that you are not in your Perform Form, Legend Sharhar!" said Abigale.
「貴様等！そうだ、まだ完全体じゃないようだ！黎伝説！」
"We're just holding our powers back! Even if we are not in our full forms, we can beat you!" said Junta.
「力を抑えてるだけだ！完全体にならなくとも、貴様を倒せる！」
"Don't be so cocky! Take this!" said Abigale.
「何を生意気な！これでもくらえ！」
The three of them were transported into an alternate dimension.
三人が別次元に飛んでしまう。
"What is this?" exclaimed Xiaomeng.
「なにこれ？」
"Welcome to my playground! This time I would not be stealing just 'things'. Your power, your body, your souls! That is when the Daybreak Heroes will come to an end!"
「俺様の遊び場へようこそ！今回貴様等から盗むのは、物件だけじゃ終わらない！力、体、魂までもな！そうすれば、黎明英雄が終わりだ！」
"You think you can do that?" taunted Junta. "Just give it a try!"
「そんな事ができると思うのか? やれると思うならやってみやがれ！」
"Wait! Don't provoke him!" cautioned Xiaomeng.
「待って！挑発するな！」
Abigale grew wings from the back of his shoulders, and started flapping those wings to generate strong gusts of wind.
アビゲールが自分の体から翼を生えさせ、強い風を飛ばしてた。
That was when the protective battle suits that they were donning for battled and they were back in their civilian attire.
そうすると、自分の体を守っていたスーツも消えてしまい、元の人間に戻った。
"This time I'll get the girl's clothes!"
「今回だけお嬢さんの服を頂いてやる！」
The wind blew strongly, and Xiaomeng's clothes were about to come off.
今回強い風が吹かれ、小夢の服が飛ばされそうになっていた。
Junta was enraged and stormed forward to give Abigale one hard punch.
純太がぐんと怒り、ガッツ一発で走り出して、アビゲールをぶん殴った。
"Keep your winds away from my woman, you pervert!" shouted Junta.
「俺の女に手を出すな、変態野郎！」って純太が叫んだ。
Junta generated nine of his elemental clones using his illusion element, and all of them attacked Abigale at once.
純太が各９つの元素を司る各９人のクローン幻の元素を作り、一斉にアビゲールを攻撃させた。
With that, Junta said, "I'm the only one who can take off her clothes!"
直ぐ様にこう言った。「俺の女の服を脱がせるのは俺だけだ」.
When Xiaomeng heard that, her face turned bright red. "Hey, that's embarassing!"
そうすると小夢の顔が真っ赤になってしまい、こう叫んだ。「何を恥ずかしい事を言ってるの?」
"Let me do it", said Xiaomeng, and she performed the same move as Junta and sent her clones to attack Abigale.
「私にもやらせてよ!亅と小夢も同じ技を展開し純太と同様に、アビゲールに襲いかけた。
Abigale then recited a spell, and cried out, “Master Leviathan! Help me!”
そうすれば、アビゲールが悲鳴を上げて言った。「リヴァイアサン様、助けて下さい！」
Abigale then started to transform into a large blue colored eel monster, which was one of the key demons of the Seven Deadly Sins, Leviathan, who commanded the sin of envy.
そうすれば、アビゲールが巨大な青色鰻怪獣、七大罪悪魔の一つの嫉妬悪魔リヴァイアサンに変身した。
Leviathan then commanded the winds to keep blowing and for it to keep raining to cause a flood.
リヴァイアサンが風を司り風を吹かせ続けて雨を降らし続けて洪水を起こした。
Junta and Xiaomeng chanted the spell to command the power of water to protect the both of them inside an air bubble to survive the torrents of water and blinding rain. After that, Xiaomeng recited a spell to make the weather colder while keeping the air inside the bubbles warm, so that the surrounding waters would freeze.
Leviathan eventually froze and become somewhat like the statue of a dragon or a giant eel.
純太と小夢が呪文を唱えて水を司って水泡の中に入り其処で閉じ籠り水の激流と豪雨を避け、小夢が呪文を唱えて気候を冷たくし水泡の中を保温したら、周りの水が凍結した。リヴァイアサンが漸く凍って龍か鰻の氷像らしい物となった。
Eventually, both Junta and Xiaomeng recalled a spell. It was the spell of the silver witch sealing ritual.
結局、純太小夢両者がとある呪文を思い出した。銀の魔女の封印という。
Xiaomeng recited the spell.
小夢が、銀の魔女の呪文を唱えた。
"Thou hast broken the rule of the magical balance of all creation, you shall be destroyed, judged, and tossed into the depths of hell where you shall repent for eternity. Silver Wyvern Judgement!"
「汝、神羅万象の魔法的均衡維持の掟を破り、殲滅の対象として決定され、判決の時が来たれり、奈落の底で悔い改めるが良い！銀龍魔女の判決！シルバーワイバーンジャッジメント！」
That was when the Abigale, in his monster form, shouted and cussed and both Junta and Xiaomeng.
そうすれば、モンスター姿のアビゲールが叫んで、純太小夢両者を罵った。
"You human bastards are nothing but hypocrites. We own nothing in this world, so who are you to claim that the stuff stolen from you belong to you? Don't forget you have karmic debts! If something is stolen from you, it is your karma! By sealing me, you may revive all those killed by me, but you will never get back what is stolen from you! Be thankful that I helped you pay your karmic debts!"
「貴様等、人間、偽善者め！本来無一物、盗まれた物は自分の物だと思う程思い上がりやがって！自分の因果の借金を忘れるな！盗まれたって貴様の報いだ。俺に殺された奴が復活しても、お前たちの盗まれたものは返さねえ！もともと必要な者に渡したからな。自分の罪の因果借金を返せただけで感謝に思え！」
When that monster turned to dust, Junta and Xiaomeng kept on pondering on his words. Back at the campus, they looked up the database for data, and it turns out that many people in recent years have been purchasing charms to delay the payment of their karmic debt. Abigale's power was only enough to work of people who had heavier karmic debts, so what he said was true, albeit twisted.
そのモンスターが塵と化し消えてしまったが、純太と小夢がその言葉を考えずにはいられなかった。舎内データベースを調べたところ、多くの人が近年に、因果借金返済を遅らせる御呪いを買っていたので運気が下がらない様に見えてきた。アビゲールというモンスターの力は、人の因果借金がある人だけ効くほどの力が弱かったので、言った事は本当だったらしい。
"But, there was something he omitted," said Xiaomeng.
「だが、奴は一つを省略したと思う」と小夢が言った。
"What was that?" Junta asked.
「何だ？」と純太が訊いた。
"People can do good deeds and overcome such karmic debt. If they open their hearts and welcome happiness, they won't need charms to delay their retribution. Good deeds do not need to be helping the poor, but also doing their best in their own entrusted duties," said Xiaomeng.
「人が悔い改めて善行をしてそれらの因果借金を乗り越える事が出来る。心を開けて幸せを向かえば、御呪いで悪運を遅らせる必要が無いね。善行は貧しい人を助けるに限らず、自分のやってる事を他人の為に最善を尽くす事、それがベストだと思うよ。」
"You are right! The girl I love is always right", said Junta.
「なるほどね、さすが私の恋人」、と純太が褒めた。
"Of course I'm always right!" said Xiaomeng smugly.
「なんだ、私いつも正しい事言うんじゃない？」小夢が少し生意気に言った。
"Your wisdom is so attractive, it makes me want to do my best, as a lover," teased Junta as he rubbed her back with his fingers.
「いつも、智慧が魅力的、俺も自分なりに最善を尽くすつもりで、恋人としてね」と純太が揶揄って、小夢ちゃんの背中を撫でた。
"You are a pervert as always", responded Xiaomeng. "Can't help it!"
「相変わらずの変態、しょうがないね。」
"You're enjoying this," Junta tease back. "Don't pretend to not like it!"
「心で喜んでるくせに、しょうがないって言うな」
"What was that?"
「何を？」
"Silly!"
「バーカ！」
