Chapter 1 : Stormy incident
I am Mahiru Izumi, an ordinary middle schooler.I don't go out from home much. My life is limited to school and home. My home is in a rural area, so it takes a little longer to go to school. It takes one hour to go to school by train and walking. I am not a member of any club at school. I go to the library in my spare time. I am not good at sports and swimming. I don’t go out with friends much. Today, October 30 it it was raining a lot outside. While having breakfast in the morning, mom told me not to go to school today, but I said I will go today. I have an important class today. I took my umbrella and went out in the rain to go to school. It wasn’t raining much in the morning but there was so much wind, that I felt like my umbrella would be blown off. My school ends at 3 o'clock. It is raining a lot today. It has been raining since morning. So after school I waited for a long time to subside the rain but it didn’t stop,instead it poured more. I waited one hour and then went out with an umbrella in the rain. Now it seems like the rain and the wind come out more since I've been out. I reached the station with a semi wet body even though i had an umbrella in my hand. On reaching the station, I saw that the train would be delayed due to rain. After waiting at the station half an hour the train arrived and i boarded the train. I am sitting in the window side of the train and watching outside. I like rainy days, so i felt good. Since my home is far away I have to return home alone. My station arrived so I got off the train and started walking. The rain has not abated. I don’t see anyone on the road in this rain. I am walking alone in this road. I came in front of the bridge. The bridge is very old. The bridge was made of steel so it was more scary if it collapsed!!

I was thinking this while crossing the bridge. Suddenly a gust of wind blew and i couldn’t control my self and i grabbed the railing of the bridge. Just then the railing broke and i fell into the water. It all happened before i knew it! The water was very cold. I was flailing my hands and and legs because i couldn’t swim. There was no one around to save me. I am slowly sinking into the water. I can't breath. It’s very difficult to breath. Am i going to die? My eyes are closing now. Everything around is getting dark. Suddenly i felt that someone pushed me! Then i opened my eyes and saw my body is sinking in front of me. I felt like i am floating on the water Then i looked at my hands were like smoke. Not only my hands but the whole body was like smoke. Then I realized that my soul was separated from my body. As i tried to catch my body, it was getting dark all around. My eyes are closing too. After a long time i could opened my eyes.
When i opened my eyes i was surprised by what i saw!!
