The following events occurred like about seven years ago, I don't really know if I'm ready to bring them to the light, but I'd better not think about it.
It was a warm summer night, the full moon was shining, illuminating the hole clear. Akari and I had gone for a night walk.
—Isn't it beautiful? —said Akari, looking at the moon.
—Yes, I guess so.—I answered.
—Sometimes I wonder if the full moon has any kind of effect on what happens —she continued. I looked at her incredulously.
—I sometimes wonder why do you wonder about such things— I said, sarcastically. She, on the other hand, ignored me, as was usual in her when I made comments of that type.
— Hey, look at that! —she suddenly said while she was pointing at an old church that may have had like two hundred years old at least — Why don't we take a look?
— I don't think that we should... —but before I could end the sentence, Akari was already running towards the old church. I tried to convince her of not going in:
— Akari, don't go, you don't know what's in there — I shouted from the back.
— You are right —she replied—and that's exactly the reason why I'm going in.
— It will be of no use, it must be closed —I said, trying again.
— And I will not know if I don't try —she answered again, and as she was speaking the last words, she tried to open the door, which was unfortunately unlocked and entered the building.
I stayed waiting outside the church for like five minutes, which may have been the longest five minutes of my life, in which she didn't come out of there. I began to worry a little bit about her, so I went there to take a look and see if everything was all right.
The church was so dark that it was impossible to distinguish a single thing in there.
I entered it, absolutely frightened, trying to see something, but it was of no use, the place was completely filled with darkness. My heart started to beat faster and faster as I was getting into the room, also, my legs and even my teeth began to shake.
Everything got worse when I made the first step into the building, 'cause I instantly figured out that I had stepped onto some kind of liquid. I took my hand to the floor and dipped one of my fingers in the liquid and then sniffed. There was no doubt, it was blood.
Suddenly, the whole room lighted up. I looked up and a giant cross was standing in front of me, the problem was that instead of having the statue of Jesus stuck on it, it had my dear friend Akari on its place.
I don't remember very well what happened next. The only thing that comes to my mind is me, running away while shouting for help, under the clear light of the full moon.
