Series Overview (SPOILER ALERT)
Amy Ruby Knight is a 35-year-old female systems administrator who dreams of becoming an author. After confronting her boss, her work environment degrades until she can no longer stand to remain in her job. Since she has plenty of savings, Amy quits her job to pursue her dream of writing. Everything seems to be looking better, with her first chapter written when the God of Earth kidnaps Amy using a summoning circle. The God of Earth explains that due to the actions of the god of another world, Amy has a choice to make: either she can be reincarnated into a fantasy world administrated by a friend of his, or she can return to her apartment, where she will die of a heart attack.
"What kind of choice is that?" Amy exclaims, choosing reincarnation.
As thanks, the God of Earth explains that there is a system that aids in world administration, and unlike on Earth, humans in the fantasy world have limited access to the system interface. This allows the fantasy world's humans to view their status by chanting "Show Status." Their status includes resources and attributes. The resources are health, mana, and stamina. The attributes include vitality, strength, agility, intellect, wisdom, charisma, and luck. Any gained titles, achievements, and skills will appear when status magic is used. Humans in this fantasy world can level up by absorbing the soul energy or experience of defeated opponents after they become ten years old.
Catching on, Amy comments that the fantasy world has many similarities to playing full-dive massively multiplayer online role-playing video games. The God of Earth smiles, commenting that the world administrators introduced those games to make reincarnation trials easier for humans to understand. Amy quickly asks if she will have a special task in her new world. The God of Earth confirms that Amy has a trial to overcome, but he cannot reveal the nature of the trial. As compensation for the actions of the god of another world, the God of Earth offers to allow Amy to choose abilities for her reincarnated life. He informs her that he has a limited number of points to provide but will accommodate her wishes as much as he can - but he cannot grant anything too overpowered.
Considering that many skills can be learned or trained in the fantasy world through effort, Amy thinks deeply about abilities that cannot be acquired usually. The God of Earth quickly begins rejecting requests for powers like infinite regeneration, maximum attributes, sin skills, and other overpowered and ridiculous abilities. He
Amy requests the skills appraisal, item box, universal language comprehension, rapid recovery, and alchemy. The God of Earth frowns and explains that while the alchemy skill exists in the fantasy world, it is considered a "dead" skill. The God of Earth warns Amy that using alchemy will attract unwanted attention, but Amy confirms her choice. The God of Earth sighs but acquiesces, gifting Amy all the magical affinities. He explains that having all the affinities is rare but not unheard of, so if Amy's alchemy is discovered, she can likely mask the alchemy with her regular magic.
Amy then reincarnates into a new world as Hinata Hikari, hoping to live a fulfilling life of adventure in peaceful isolation.

After being reborn, Hinata opens her eyes to see her father and mother. She learns that Naomi Hikari is her mother's name and Akira Hikari is her father's. After flailing her newborn arms around, she realizes that life as a 35-year-old woman shoved into a newborn's body is going to be traumatic.
*** ONE MONTH OLD ***
Hinata has somewhat adjusted to her new life. Thanks to rapid recovery, Hinata requires very little sleep and recovers health, mana, and stamina at a rate of 100x normal. Naomi carries Hinata everywhere, which has allowed Hinata to learn quite a bit about her parents and her new world. Akira is the head butler, and Naomi is the head maid at Lord Cedric Stormsong's mansion. Lord Cedric's daughter, Julia, is one year older than Hinata. Lord Cedric's wife, Lady Zara, passed away due to a complication in Julia's birth. Lord Cedric adores his daughter, and she is his entire world. Since Lady Zara's death, Lord Cedric has been less involved with other nobility and more focused on raising Julia and building up his town. Julia views Naomi as her substitute mother and has decided that Hinata is her little sister. Lord Cedric often has Akira administer the town on his behalf so that he can spend time with his daughter.
When her parents are not paying attention, Hinata attempts to use light magic, which she deems safe to practice.
*** THREE MONTHS OLD ***
Now three months old, Hinata can already crawl. This shocks Naomi, as it is unheard of for a baby to crawl before being six months old. Akira makes a big deal about his daughter being a prodigy, which leads to Lord Cedric scolding him for being loud. Lord Cedric mentions that he is excited about Hinata's baptism when she turns seven. During the baptismal ceremony, a citizen card is blessed by the gods and can be used to view another's status. A citizen card is used to enter and leave towns, register with guilds, and even when being interviewed for jobs. Information on a citizen card can be concealed but not modified, and certain elements cannot be concealed. The first time a parent can view their child's status is when they are seven and receive their card.
Being able to crawl has led her to acquire her first new skill in her new world: stealth. Who knew that sneaking into the Lord's library to read at night would cause her to gain a skill?
*** THREE YEARS ***
Hinata has learned multiple magic spells for each elemental affinity and a few healing spells. In reviewing her status, she realized that memorized magic spells are displayed as skills when expanding a magic affinity in her status. She made an essential discovery for training her mana capacity, namely that there are two key skills that most mages fail to acquire but are key to long-term growth. Hinata acquired the magic control skill by repeatedly casting the light spell until her mana ran out. The magic control skill improves mana efficiency based on how high a level the skill is. The skill grants a 5% mana consumption reduction at the first level. The other skill Hinata gained was magic sense. Using her magic sense, Hinata can detect the magic power of others and anticipate what spell is being cast. She has been careful not to expose her magical abilities to her parents.
Lord Cedric gives Julia and Hinata sword training every other day. Hinata has noticed that training has a positive impact on her attributes and has started actively targeting each attribute to increase its maximum value. Since children cannot level, Hinata is convinced that increasing her base attributes will allow her to increase her level quickly. Julia is often frustrated that Hinata prefers to train rather than play with her.
*** SEVEN YEARS OLD ***
It is Hinata's seventh birthday. Akira and Naomi take Hinata to the church to be blessed by the gods and receive her citizen card. Hinata preemptively conceals most of her skills and attributes in her status ahead of time but forgets to hide her health, mana, and stamina. While praying over her citizen card, everything goes white for a moment while she meets with the gods of that world. The gods introduce themselves and their administrative areas. The primary administrator, also worshipped in the world as the creator god, mentions their surprise at Hinata's dedication to training. Hinata explains that she wants to live freely. The primary administrator laughs as Hinata is returned to the mortal world.
Hinata has received her citizen card and is considered a baptized child. A priestess escorts Hinata to the waiting room, where Akira and Naomi ask her for her citizen card. They view Hinata's status and are shocked that they cannot see her attributes and can only see a swordsmanship skill at level four. Akira and Naomi realize that her health, mana, and stamina values are far higher than expected for a seven-year-old child. Akira asks Hinata if she has concealed any of her skills, and Hinata replies, "It is a secret!"
*** TEN YEARS OLD ***
Akira and Naomi, feeling betrayed and disappointed by Hinata concealing details on her citizen card, began to treat her as an acquaintance rather than a daughter. Hinata worked hard as Lady Julia's maid while continuing her training under Lord Cedric. Just before her tenth birthday, Hinata took her citizen card back from her parents using her stealth skill and stored it in her item box. Hinata knew from her research that at ten years old, her parents could legally sell her to Lord Cedric or someone else, and she could be enslaved. Parents and guardians could only legally do this to children between ten and fifteen years old. Under ten, it was considered abuse and children are considered adults at fifteen.
Hinata then went to the Adventurers' Guild to register as an adventurer on the morning of her birthday. There were a few mutters from the local adventurers at the quest board, but no one interfered. A receptionist named Helen greeted Hinata and asked for the purpose of her visit. Hinata asked to register and pay the one silver coin registration fee. Helen instructed Hinata to place her citizen card on the card reader. Helen confirmed that Hinata was ten years old with a combat skill and registered Hinata as a G-rank adventurer. Helen then explained how to switch the citizen card into the adventurer card view for future usage.
The local guildmaster, Sebastian, spotted Hinata and came over. Sebastian noted Hinata's usually large health, mana, and stamina values. Sebastian asked Hinata why she was registering as an adventurer, and Hinata replied, "I want to live freely." Sebastion realized that Hinata was not just referring to the adventurer lifestyle - no, she also meant that she was avoiding being enslaved by registering immediately on her tenth birthday. The Adventurers' Guild was now obligated to protect Hinata's interests, and her parents could no longer sell Hinata into slavery without her consent. Sebastian groaned at the mess Hinata had likely dropped on his doorstep, but as a guildmaster it was his duty to protect her going forward.
Sebastian's eyes jolted open when Hinata placed her adventurers' card into her item box. Through his meetings with Lord Cedric, Sebastian knew Hinata had likely hidden her skills before being baptized and receiving her citizen card. Sebastian now realized that Hinata had done so to hide a coveted rare skill that would have resulted in guaranteed enslavement. As Sebastian reeled in surprise, the Adventurers' Guild doors opened, and several people entered. Hinata stared smugly at Lord Cedric, Akira, Naomi, and the four guards accompanying them.
Lord Cedric commanded the guards to seize Hinata, explaining that she was a runaway slave, but Guildmaster Sebastian laughed at him. "Lord Cedric, Hinata is a registered G-rank adventurer, and her adventurer card does not indicate any such thing."
"That's impossible," Lord Cedric shouted. "She does not have her citizen card, so she cannot register at the guild."
"I am an adventurer," Hinata said, pulling her adventurers' card out of her item box. "I am free and will live as I choose, thanks."
Lord Cedric's face went pale with shock, followed by red with anger at the realization that Hinata had an extremely valuable skill and had evaded his clutches. "Seize her anyway; we will sort this out later."
As every adventurer stood, the sudden rasp of several weapons being drawn echoed in the room. Sebastian said, "Unfortunately, the Adventurers' Guild does not permit kidnapping of its members, particularly when it is clearly to torture them until they agree to slavery. With the guild as her guardian, we will refuse any requests related to this matter."
