As is typical with war, once things are in motion, events happen quickly. It isn't like the Northern Federation suddenly decided to sail south - No, they would of planned this for months. Also, an Armada wouldn't be the only thing sent, instead, there's sure to be more.
Sustaining of the Absolute Defence Zone - That's likely what Akasha squadron will be assigned to. Deployment will surely come soon. Everything is changing for Shigure, again, he's being thrown back into the fray, just as Brigadier Marshall Yamamoto suggested.
"Akasha squadron. Move to condition one. Prepare for deployment." He'd rotated around quickly to address his squad, and just as quickly exited the room.
Most of Akasha squadron are confused, not knowing whether to believe the broadcast, or if to disregard Shigure's orders. Though their doubts are shortly shattered.
Echoes of klaxons, their origins getting closer and closer. Then the unannounced flashing of red. "Attention Attention. Condition one battle stations are to be assumed immediately. This is not a drill." It begins to repeat itself, mixing into alarms.
Though they needn't hear it again, once from the base's automated announcement system is plenty. Everyone scrambles across the room, grabbing loose items and whatever else they need. The halls are filled with soldiers moving with equal haste.
Outside screeching of tires with growling of engines fight over the soundscape. Shouting of officers in an attempt to organized everyone. As cluttered and random as it may seem, there's a rhythm to everyone's movements, as if they'd practiced this hundreds of times. Dockyards swarm with sailors, loading items and manning their stations. Military police pour out of their respective buildings, guiding and maintaining order.
It's been a while since Shigure has ran, but now demands a sense of urgency. Condition one battle stations means to prepare for anything. From sudden deployments, to area defence. Nothing will be deactivated, instead, brought to an idle, battle ready state. Gleipnir docks open their hanger's, ships prepare to weigh anchor, armoured vehicles are crewed.
Barging into his office, he immediately seats at his computer. Noting down any information on his new squad members he can find. Their prior deployments, ages, tendencies, Gleipnir class and model, everything he'll be requiring for the inevitable.
The klaxons soon cease, despite the persistent reminder to go to condition one. He's left with an uncertain amount of time. It could be within the half-hour, or day, or week. He hasn't a clue.
Scribbling of his pen is all to be heard, until eventually his door shoots open. Understandably surprised, he jumps out of his chair, trying to understand who's come. Straight neat black hair, white streaks mixed throughout the lengths. A strangely perfect body. And the uniform that of a JMDF Vice Admiral.
She jogs up to Shigure, extending her hand for a handshake. "It is I, none other than Vice Admiral Kaga~♪! Designation ST928. We'll be working together, GFM-Commodore~!"
A superior of his. 'Hm'. No reason not to shake hands. He grasps hers. "GFM-Commodore Shigure. Akasha squadron commander of the Gleipnir Mechanized Regiment."
"Awesome!" She shakes his hand with excited vigour. "I've heard tales of you, glad we can finally meet~♪" Smiling continuously, she slips her hand out of his. "Whether or not you know of me does not matter. I'll remind you~! I'm the Captain of Jörmungandr. Specifically designed ENNB Construct Kaga~♪!"
