(1) Purpose of universe creation
① View of Christian doctrine
In the Genesis of the Old Testament, the process of the universe creation of God is written, but nothing about its creation purpose is written clearly.
In Genesis of the Old Testament, the universe creation is written as follows.
┌----------
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.
God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." There was evening and there was morning, one day. (the Old Testament, Genesis, chapter1, verse1)
└----------
The universe creation was begun in this way.
And on the 2nd day, the water was divided into the clouds and the sea.
On the 3rd day, the land and the plant appeared.
On the 4th day, sun, moon and stars appeared.
On the 5th day, fish and birds, on the 6th day, the mammal and the humans appeared respectively.
On the 7th day God finished his work which he had made, and he rested from all his work which he had made.
Thus the creation was completed.
In the Christian doctrine, the purpose of the universe creation of God is mentioned to show the glory of God Himself.
God created the humans in his own image for the relative of God's own love.

As this basis, the following verses of Genesis are considered.
┌----------
God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. ( the Old Testament, Genesis, chapter1, verse27)

② View of the CWG series
In the CWG series, the purpose of the universe creation of God is clearly stated.
The universe was created by God which wanted to experience its own divinity.
"All That Is" (God) is an absolute presence that does not depend on the others.
Therefore, although God knew Himself conceptually, He could not know it experientially.
God eagerly wanted to know Himself or His own divinity experientially.
God which is the absolute presence can know Himself experientially only in the relative world.
So God created the universe being the relative world where He could know it experientially.
This is the reason why God created the universe.
