The soul experiences divinity through "this life" to complete itself.
And when the soul completes their agenda in the physical world, it will leave the physical world and go to the spiritual world (afterlife).
When the soul in the spiritual world wants to experience divinity newly, it will go to the physical world again.
And then it will dwell in another human being (reincarnation).
Past life means the lives which the soul has had in the past.
The soul has all the memories of the experiences which it has had in the past lives.
