I ordered two 8GB drives.
The chips themselves are Samsung, but the SPD has been rewritten to "noname" and is marked as manufactured in the 29th week of 2025. → memtest86+
Chip: k4b4g0846d (1600, JEDEC standard 1.35V (1.28V-1.45V) & 1.5V (1.425V-1.575V))
Chip: k4b4g0846e (1866, JEDEC standard 1.35V (1.28V-1.45V) & 1.5V (1.425V-1.575V))
One is D-die, as specified. The other is E-die, rated 3L.
I plan to use it at the 1.5V rating of the SPD.
The information is as shown in the image. Even the serial number is the same.
At the moment there are no low-profile DDR3 options,
and I was hoping to get something from Samsung that hadn't had the D-die reprogramming.
Memtest86+ gave me two passes on all tests.
It works, so I compromised and thought it was fine.
