I Don't Care If Heaven Won't Take Me Back

2500 years ago.

Before the barriers.

Before the endless war.

Before the north and south hated each other—

RODEM was one world.

Mankind, demi-humans, elves, dragons, beast races, and countless creatures coexisted together.

Wars happened between kingdoms and races naturally.

But there was also peace.

Trade.

Adventure.

Love.

At that time, the most powerful kingdoms were Hybrid Kingdom and Gonin Kingdom in the north, while Luzono Kingdom ruled the south with unmatched advancement and magic technology.

Then one day—

The God Council from Heaven sent God Jiyo and his nine subordinate Gods to investigate the Gore Verse.

Their mission was simple.

Observe the world.

Do not interfere.

Do not favor anyone.

The Gods descended silently and blended into RODEM like ordinary travelers.

At first—

Everything was peaceful.

The Gods explored kingdoms, learned cultures, and watched the world quietly.

Then Jiyo met her.

Ara.

A woman from Luzono.

Beautiful.

Smart.

Kind.

But what caught Jiyo’s attention most—

Was how calmly she treated him.

She did not know he was a God.

To her, he was only a quiet traveler.

At first Jiyo barely spoke.

But Ara kept dragging him everywhere.

To markets.

Festivals.

Villages.

One time, she forced him to help repair a broken fishing boat for an old man.

Another time, she dragged him into a festival dance even though Jiyo had no idea what dancing was.

She laughed endlessly seeing his emotionless face while dancing badly.

For the first time—

Jiyo began smiling.

Slowly—

The God who once viewed mortals as temporary beings began loving the world itself.

Especially Ara.

One night beneath the moonlight sea of Luzono—

Ara asked him quietly.

“If one day I disappear…”

“Will you remember me?”

Jiyo looked toward the sea silently before answering.

“…Forever.”

As years passed, the other Gods also formed emotional bonds with RODEM.

Some fell in love.

Some created deep friendships.

Some simply loved the peaceful life they found there.

Eventually—

The Gods naturally separated themselves.

Not because Heaven ordered it—

But because their hearts chose where they belonged.

Seven Gods remained mostly in the north due to their connections there.

Meanwhile, Jiyo, Jorem, and Jin Law chose the south.

Because the people they cared about lived there.

Then—

Everything changed.

One day, Ara lost control during an argument and accidentally killed a demi-human noble using magic.

The laws of RODEM were absolute.

Even accidental murder was still murder.

Ara was arrested immediately.

Jiyo watched helplessly as she was imprisoned.

Bound by Heaven’s rules—

He could not interfere.

For the first time in his existence—

Jiyo hated being a God.

One week later—

Ara was sentenced to public execution.

The night before her execution—

Jiyo secretly visited her prison cell.

Ara smiled weakly when she saw him.

“You came.”

Jiyo silently held the prison bars tightly.

“…I’ll save you.”

Ara slowly shook her head.

“You can’t.”

Silence filled the room.

Then Ara softly smiled through tears.

“…I’m scared.”

That single sentence shattered Jiyo completely.

The next day—

Ara was executed before the people of Luzono.

Jiyo watched silently beneath the rain.

Without expression.

Without movement.

But inside him—

Something broke forever.

After her death, Jiyo returned to Heaven and begged the God Council.

“Let her enter Heaven.”

“I’ll take her punishment instead.”

But the council refused.

Rules could not be broken.

Not even by Gods.

Then Jiyo learned the truth.

Ara had already been sent to Hell.

That day—

Heaven lost one of its greatest Gods.

Jiyo descended into Hell alone.

And destroyed it.

The skies of Hell burned endlessly.

Angels died one after another trying to stop him.

Entire realms collapsed beneath his rage.

Then finally—

He found Ara.

Deep within Hell.

Chained.

Burned.

Suffering endlessly.

When Ara saw him—

Her eyes widened in horror.

“Jiyo…?”

He immediately tried breaking her chains.

But Ara weakly grabbed his hand.

Her body trembled from endless pain.

“…Why did you come here…?”

Jiyo’s voice shook for the first time.

“…I came to take you home.”

Ara slowly cried while smiling painfully.

“There’s no home for people like me anymore…”

Jiyo clenched his fists so hard blood fell from them.

Then Ara quietly touched his face.

“…Please stop…”

“You’re hurting yourself…”

Jiyo looked at her suffering body.

And finally—

He cried.

The God who once stood above all existence cried helplessly inside Hell.

Ara smiled weakly through tears.

“…Thank you…”

“…for loving someone like me.”

Then Heaven descended upon Hell.

The God Captain arrived.

And war between Gods began.

The ten Gods fought together against Heaven itself.

But they lost.

Jiyo was sealed inside Hell and transformed into its ruler.

Over time—

His mind disappeared completely.

Only destruction remained.

Meanwhile, the nine remaining Gods were judged for betraying Heaven.

And because of the sins committed by Gods upon RODEM—

The God Council cursed the planet itself.

From that day onward—

Every creature born in RODEM would go directly to Hell after death.

Good or evil no longer mattered.

No judgment.

No salvation.

Then the Great Barrier dividing north and south was created.

The Gods themselves chose which side they would remain on.

Not because of orders.

But because of the people they loved.

The people they could no longer abandon.

And Heaven declared the final punishment.

If either side completely wiped out the other—

The victors could remain on RODEM forever and avoid Hell.

But if no victor emerged after 2521 years—

The Gates of Hell would open fully.

And Hell itself would consume the entire world.

Now—

Only three months remained.
