Who comes after John Wick, John McClane and John Rambo?
Master Assassin, Hard-lining Cop, and PTSD Super-soldier. Quite the line-up of "Men who can rise to the Challenge”, the Challenge being the socio-political concerns or fury at the Time of their film debuts. Now each of these Franchises did address their targeted concerns [not always to the best of their abilities, but hey it’s movies - Who cares?] but that does not mean that all the concerns of the World were addressed. And as a South African, I have My own concerns.
Around 2010, We had learnt of Edward Snowden, Data hacks and an American spy that was found in Our country [I will omit what happened to Them because I am not that knowledgeable on the matter] and all this Information has made Us rather sensitive to Information and its Security.
Now, using the American film industry as My blueprint, I have taken the Liberty to use all these Johns as a Model and create a Warrior who fights against Information hacks. Her name:
Jane Adams.
Ex Cyber-soldier, relieved of active duty from an assault that left Her visually impaired. With her financial support wearing thin, She is visited by a Young stranger who seeks to hire Her, a Blind woman.
Fairly skeptical of this Young man, she acts to have him removed but halts when He offers to give her a new Pair of Eyes. At a cost.
In her struggling desperation, She takes the Offer and has surgery done on Her eyes. When she meets Her benefactor, He has Her work as his Private Intelligence. An offer She finds no Shame in taking.
But is the young Man with Afro-hair down to his Ribs a Man she can Trust? What is it that He wants investigated so badly that He'd pay for the Surgery of a retired Veteran? And why invest so much into a Colored Woman over White Man? And can She finally track down Those behind Her assault? [Note: Colored is the correct Term used in South Africa. I am aware it’s different for Westerners]
