We Youths are lacking in National Pride, You say?

Are Some less concerned with the Matters of Their-own Nation?

That's something You can't just accuse Others of when You are not knowledgeable of the Parameters that make up "the Love for Your Country".

And hey, there's more than One way to show love for Your-own Home.

I was watching Wisecrack's latest YouTube video on Critical Race Theory and how it appears [at least, in America] that to older Generations, we Youths are being taught "Values that go against what makes Us value Our Nation". [paraphrasing here, do check the Video for more!]

Whether this Sentiment holds water depends on who You ask but I'd rather focus My energy on holding onto and refurbishing any of these Values for Myself, My Generation Z, and Those who come after Us. And What better way than to make Superheroes to embody and act upon those Values.

It worked for America [Spider-Man and Captain America] and Japan [really just any Anime that has a cast of Youths tasked with fighting Enemies of the State. Again, check Wisecrack!] so there's no Reason why it won't work for South Africa. And the best Way to market these Values:

By reframing South Africa's National Anthem into the Values of the Heroes and as the Theme of Their battles. Yes the Villains will challenge and even mock, or worse mimic and subvert these Values. But not making those Superheroes and nagging Us youths to have a sense of Patriotism when even the things We love (Superheroes and Moral ambiguity) are being oppressed (yay democracy) will only further the Gap. If that's what You intended for, then do carry on.

We have four verses in Our Anthem and each in a different Language. I wouldn't be worth my Salt as a Storyteller if I didn't at least try to make these Values as the Paragons for Myself, My Generation Z, and those that will come after Us.
