Chapter 15
The seasons passed, and there was a school arts festival at the end of winter.
Both Ryosaku and Mieko were quick to play small parts in the plays of their grades, but when they were watching the performances of other grades, they slipped out of their seats divided by grade and sat side by side, arm in arm, was appealing for the first time in a good relationship.
Ryosaku loved Mieko, but in fact, a few days before the school arts festival, he began to have bad dreams.
A nightmare that I see every day.
He began to wake up sweating profusely in the mornings, and felt tired during the day.
However, he didn't want to cause Mieko unnecessary worries, and felt that he was wasting his time worrying about such a trivial matter, so he desperately hid the fatigue that remained in his body. And he was trying to be cheerful, as he had always been.
That nightmare... Strangely enough, in his case, even though he had been tormented by it, he could not remember anything about it when he woke up.
The content itself seems to be short, but it repeats itself throughout the night, attacking Ryosaku like an "infinite loop".
Ryosaku intuitively sensed that nightmares were suggesting to him some important message, or rather, a "warning" that he must be aware of.
…But he just can’t remember the point.
The same can be said for us... Even Ryosaku, the main character, can't do anything if he doesn't understand the content of his dream. There is no way to respond to the coming "change".
In this way, even though he felt an indescribable anxiety and an eerie creeping "something", he desperately hid his worsening physical condition every day and protected his love with Mieko through stubbornness and guts.

Even so, the strange thing was that Ryosaku had been suffering from such poor health for a long time, but his parents didn't notice at all.
His mother put the food on the table, but she never said a single word to Ryosaku. And so is his father...
Even though Ryosaku couldn't afford to eat, his parents didn't worry about him and didn't even talk to him. And they were eating indifferently as if nothing had changed.
His parents were unaware of his anomaly, and did nothing to stop Ryosaku from going to school.
No matter how hard he tried to hide it, it shouldn't have been at a level where they wouldn't notice...
However, even though Ryosaku himself felt the power of "something" working eerily, he could not afford to worry about his parents' abnormal behavior.
Mieko was floating in his mind.
It was all about her.
