"Uh…"
I got up, holding my head.
"Did you wake up?"
"Kazuhiro…"
There were Kazuhiro and Hiroto in front of me.
"I should say you were lucky. You're gonna see us die, you know.
"Is here school building?"
As my consciousness began to clear, I found myself capable of looking around.
"I though it’s bad for you if you wake up with dead bodies all over the place like that."
"Where are Tsutomu and Hiroyuki?"
I said that while looking around nervously.
"They died by saving you. They were pierced by a spear thrown by Mikado. The two of them overlapped each other, and get in front of you. The spear pierced one body, but stopped at the second. The one in the front died instantly, but the one in the back lived for a little while."
"Then why didn’t you save him!"
I jumped to my feet and grabbed Kazuhiro by the collar.
"Calm down. Everyone knew it was too late. And moreover, there's only little we can do in this school."
"Senpai, it’s almost time."
Hiroto, who was behind Kazuhiro, looked at the watch on his left arm.
"Okay, listen. What I'm about to tell you is the truth we came up with."
"The truth?"
Kazuhiro's usual calmness and his piercing gaze fixed on me cooled my head whether I liked it or not.
"Yes. You decide if you believe that or not."
Then Hiroto and Kazuhiro took a deep breath at once.
"Hey, Shūhei. Me and Shōta are from Kanagawa Prefecture. Minami, Risa and Keisuke are from Tokyo. You are from Chiba. Then there is one person who doesn’t belong to us."
"Huh, what are you talking about?"
Without understanding what Kazuhiro had said, Hiroto continued.
"It's as blue as the ocean between B and M, but as red as blood between A and D. Isn't that creepy?"
"B and M? A and D? What have you been saying all this time?"
It seemed far from what could be called the truth.
"We did indeed told you. Now go decide for yourself. I entrust the hopes of everyone who was at this school to you."
Saying that, Hiroto and Kazuhiro gradually walked away from me.
Their backs were so wide and big as they moved away, but somehow they looked heavier and darker than ever.
It looks like their backs were lonely and sad, as if they were full of some hope but realizing that it would never come true.
