The letters left behind by Jin inspired an economic boom that elves took a like to. Urbanisation however took an aesthetically different direction to that that we know in our Earth.
For the elves used magic to strategically and naturally Place their farms, housing, factories and other artificial constructs in a manner that prevented urban heat islands and the dreaded green house effects. Planning that was made with the foresight of Jin Embler and their trust in hero’s foresight.
With Jin’s return to Reach from Laconia, further letters and consultations improved the elves performance and they took a more political-interest in their own settlement and the Laconians further upstream. This interest would be sated with the arrival of the Laconia naval fleet: not what the elves had hoped for.
In the face of an actual army of giants, dwarves and humans, local adventurers refused to fight. The Reach family was not able to defend and could only hope to negotiate the safety of their twin daughters.
However, the Laconian queen in her battle greeted the family with dignity. She spelled her name, Cynisca Laconia, and her relation with Jin Embler.
Two of the Reach men were not happy to learn of the son-in-law’s deeds but the chieftess, Anne, silenced them and parlayed with the queen. To Anne’s surprise, Cynisca made a palatable offer: no blood, no oppression, no hassle.
The price: accepting the monarchy rule of Laconia and to first witness a military demonstration before replying. To which the Reach family complied and neared witness the awesome might of a naval fleet and these new “enjaknears” who constructed Canals leading upto Laconia.
These canals introduced the idea of flood control, reserving water, and increasing and decreasing water levels of one river so that boats may travel safely upstream AND downstream. It was clear that Jin Embler was more knowledgable than the elves could have ever imagined and was giving different knowledge to different settlements: even right now in Mesop town.
Fighting the giants was an ill-thought and Anne swiftly kneeled before queen Cynisca. Cynisca then corrected her and said that Cynisca was now her Emperor and to never call her an Empress: Emperors rule empires and the Empress is ONLY the Emperor’s wife.
Cynisca Laconia was no wife to power: She is power. Anne Reach, now Duke of Reach held Cynisca Laconia in feared reverence as her Emperor.
Anne World remember the shame of being bested and vowed to have more knowledge than her contemporaries. In her wake, she left transcripts of ideas, herstory, and fictions and pioneered the education system.
It was Anne Reach who coined the term “Herstory” to label recorded events of humanity.
