As pressed for time as we were, I was able to spend two months with my wife and kids. I couldn’t change our situation but Anne told me that all a woman wants is someone to complain to even if the accept the situation - long as I accept her feelings than we can be happy.
I passed on the message of Dungeon escapees to both Anne and Joshua and explained the gravity of its confidentiality. Joshua wanted me out of the house and was just looking for the excuse but his daughter wasn’t having it - and so I had these great eight weeks instead of one.
The village is now far better resourced and the need for interactions among Mesop, Reach and Laconia are on the rise. We were able to better equip ourselves than our first trip in no small part because of them.
Hana-chan was an equally tremendous help. It seems that she liked an anime about “A man favoured by the gods” with a lot of cute slimes before she died. She also read the Web novels and has been using that as reference to improve upon my schemes here in Reach - she and Anne got along swell but Anne still didn’t know Hana-chan’s true identity.
And now, we head south for Mesop town: the largest human settlement on this river and home to the kemonomimi!! Celia, Anne and Cynisca are okay with my adultery soo I can mofu-mofu to my “two brains’” content - Terese is making a sour face but enough of that!
