《 (A leaflet) The ultimate me, emptiness, and free will 》

The details cannot be explained here, but it seems that the ultimate me is, in a nutshell, the one who perceives bodily sensations and senses of thought, and, figuratively, the one who sees.

The ultimate me is totally passive.

(The ultimate me seems to be a huge measurement action, so to speak, a huge perceptual action formed from the measurement action of matter. It is directly embodied with energy. The ultimate me is a huge, integrated fusion itself of energies.

(The ultimate me is a part of a huge consciousness, but it seems that the activeness --emergent tendency to form physical order spontaneously, independently, and activity if possible-- that forms consciousness is equipped in the energy itself. It seems that all physical order in this universe is fundamentally formed by this tendency. (This is because high physical order is never be formed naturally without some physical cause, due to the second law of thermodynamics that entropy increases). This tendency in energies is therefore very important)).

It seems that this is what is meant by "I am emptiness" as expressed in the religious field.

Bodily sensations come from outside the consciousness. Thoughts, however, are formed (physically and automatically) by the workings of thinking inherent in consciousness.

(Thinking action is also a part of the huge consciousness, and this thinking action seems to be a huge computation action formed from the computation action of matter).

(Thoughts are formed by the thinking action in response to the perception of bodily sensations. In this respect, the occurrence of bodily sensations corresponds, so to speak, to the occurrence of questions. Thoughts also develop further, even when stimulated by thoughts that have formed.

By the way, thinking acting and thoughts are advanced physical orders. While consciousness is awake, the thinking action that produces thoughts is constantly being renewed by the spontaneous and independent movement of energy, and thoughts can be viewed as being directly formed by the energy that keeps renewing the thinking action according to the situation at the time. For some reason, the movement or state of thinking action that energy continues to renew becomes thoughts as high physical order. This part is strange.

(All kinds of thoughts that arise in our human consciousness are fundamentally formed physically and automatically by the emergent tendency inherent in energy)).

(Therefore, for the ultimate me, free will does not exist. However, in the first place, free will does not exist (in the strict sense) in that the work of thinking (and, by extension, consciousness) is physically and automatically fulfilled (by energy).

Moreover, although it may sound verbose, if we evaluate it carefully and calmly, we do not perform any concrete function that causes thoughts to arise in our consciousness --function to manipulate the movements of our brains to form our thoughts--. We just passively feel the thoughts that arise (basically, somehow automatically, based on the spontaneous movements of the brain). Also in this regard, it seems that free will does not exist. (Like other autonomic organs, the brain is also considered an autonomic organ).

(However, the movement of each brain cell that makes up the brain seems to be a collaboration between the brain cell as a substance and consciousness formed in the brain cell (= consciousness of the brain cell)).

Still the work of thinking and the formed thoughts (that are formed by endogenous and automatic movements of energy) are evaluated as external to the ultimate me. So to speak, thoughts and bodily sensations are guests and others.

(We have very little involvement in shaping our thinking patterns. Acquiredly, it may be indirectly possible to promote, distort, or newly form the function of already formed thinking patterns by intending and acting in that way. This may be viewed as an indirect and metaphorical form of free will, so to speak).

A thinking pattern is a function of thinking action. However, although it is a function of one's own consciousness, it is a separate action and an other for the ultimate me, the perceptual function. It's a little strange to say that there is another person's part in one's own consciousness, but if we look at it strictly, it can be understood as such.

In other words, the thought formed by the thinking pattern is still the other.

Also, although we perceive bodily sensations ourselves --the ultimate me / perceptual action--, their sources or causes are outside our consciousness, so bodily sensations are also positioned as others.

Then, what if the ultimate me is emptiness, the one who sees, and the thoughts and bodily sensations are the others? It seems that there is no rule for that kind of thing and the answer is different for each person.

By the way, It seems that we usually implicitly think that we think and act for ourselves. This is a very natural impression. (And this seems to be where the question of free will comes from).

And, thinking action is composed of countless thinking patterns formed (half-fixedly) on the basis of the brain, and, in this respect, thoughts can be evaluated as directly generated from thinking patterns.

If, then, we think that we think and act for ourselves, then it follows that our core is the thinking patterns that directly produce thoughts.

And, this, too, seems to be a common impression. This is because thoughts are produced not by the ultimate me who is emptiness and the one who sees passively, but by the thinking patterns, and because the behavior and personality of others reflect the workings of their thinking patterns (through the thoughts that are generated).

The general impression is that our core is our individual thinking patterns. Thinking patterns are, in effect, who we are. And thinking patterns may be so-called ego.

However, from the viewpoint that the person who passively perceives bodily sensations and senses of thought is the ultimate me, the thinking patterns may be positioned as an accessory or companion of the ultimate me. The master is the ultimate me, and the thinking patterns (which are the practical core of our living existence) are rather the servants.

Hence, our view of thinking patterns as our core may be as misleading as our belief that we think for ourselves. Yet this misunderstanding is quite natural.

Still, there is no rule as to what we consider to be the ultimate me or core of ourselves. Thinking patterns can be the center of each of us personality and existence because the ultimate me has no activeness and the thinking patterns practically drive the living existence of each of us, and because thinking action, which consists of thinking patterns, is also part of consciousness.

And, even so, the question remains as to what will come of it if the ultimate me is emptiness and the one who sees, and the thoughts and bodily sensations are others. This may be a personal, religious, ethical, or existential question that touches our inner selves. And it may have nothing to do with others.
