I will never forget
Liam is 18 years old Senior in MNM High School, living average boy life with his dad who works in Medical Nonprescription Medication Company also known as MNM.
It is a beautiful day, air feels chill, fresh and sun looks bigger and clear. I remember it was raining before I went to bed last night, it must just stopped raining few hours ago there is still water paddle on the street.
"Dad, it is till 0600 in the morning, I can sleep for another hour...humm"
"Son, two of your friends just called and they said they going to be here to pick you up around 0700. They must feel very sorry for your very poor time management..."
As he is still talking to me and I was thinking...he seems all ready to leave the house, all dressed up in the nice suit. He might have some type of meeting today.
"Hey, Liam. Are you listening? Son, I have to tell you one thing. I know your grade is good...ok sorry...great in the school, I have no complain about that, but that doesn't mean you can be late to the school. Please stop making me look bad in the lab."
I still had tooth brush in my mouth...and said,
"What does me being late to school does to you in the lab at your work??"
Dad gets breakfast ready and bring it to the table.
"Don't tell me you forgot that your school is affiliated to union of MNM Company. You should know nothing get transmitted faster than bad rumor. So please son, I want you to be more careful with your time"
As he smiles I answered, "Ok Dad" and he takes his apron off and start working toward the door.
"Good, now eat up and get ready for school. See you tonight."
"Hey dad you leaving already?"
"Son, I have to leave now, and don't forget to lock the doors! I love you son!"
As I was just finishing brushing my teeth and washing my face. He was already out the door.
"I love you too Dad...and he is not here anymore."
I set down in the kitchen table and ate breakfast, it was bacon, egg and rye bread with butter.
After I finish eating I changed into the school uniform and lied back down on my bed.
"Dad I told you, I can sleep another hour..."
After I closed my eye, I didn’t realize how fast I went back to sleep.
I see Reina trying to tell me something…
“Li…Liam….Liam! Wake up!“
“Huh…? Reina? How do you know my room?”
When I opened my eye I saw my friend Jenny and Ken in my room. Jenny was shaking me, trying to wake me up.
Jenny looked me wired and said “Who is Reina? Anyways, you going to make all of us late to school! Wake up! We only have 10mins to get to the train station!”
I jumped right back up and grabbed my school bag and we all ran to the train station. We all made to the train just few send before it leaves the station.
In the train she told me Ken was trying to wake me up for almost 30mins, Ken was suggesting Jenny to leave without me.
“So, Ken how did you get in my house?”
“Your house door was open.”
Apparently my dad didn’t close the door before he left… wait a minute…
“Ken, thanks for all your effort… but you just reminded me something”
“I don't think I lock my doors… ahhhhh… crap, my dad is going to kill me once he gets home for lunch.”
As I was thinking how mad my dad is going to be, Ken smiles and said,
“I saw Jenny locking your doors, right Jenny?”
“What! You serious?!”
Jenny look at me and “oh, that’s right! Sorry I almost forgot to hands your keys back.”
“Thanks, Jenny I don't know what I going to do without you!”
Jenny turns her cheeks red and look down and said "You are welcome."
As we are talking in the train, the train is taking us to the MNMs biggest test facility, “Area-E”.
Train announce goes off, “Next Stop is Area-E MNM High School… next stop is MNM High School. 1st period starts in 30 minutes.”
NOTE: Area-E consists of MNMs medical facilities, medication labs and education facilities, it has 15 hospital, 20 High School, 15 College and 50 MNM labs. Area-E takes care of new supplements/medication Level 1 to 3 clinical study and trial. All the clinical study and trail is done is the Area-E and once it gets confirmed to be safe by the government, the technologies goes out on the public for daily use.
My Dad works in LAB-9 Supplements Division, I don’t know the details but he is studying supplements for young people to help the balance of daily growth.
As I walk in to my classroom, teacher walked in and says
“Hey, Liam. You are not late today. Good work!”
I smiled back to the teacher and said
“Thank you, but honestly I was almost late if Ken and Jenny didn’t come wake me up this morning.”
Teacher jokingly says
“Thank you! Ken and Jenny, I might have to give you two an award for waking up Liam and bringing to school on time!” full class starts laugh out loud.
Teacher walk towards the podium and says “Okay class, we have 2 special guest today, first we have transfer student, and guys in the room don’t be too excited. She is from Area-A, very small lab compared to our section and she is shy, please be nice to her!”
Some of the guys stars to talk "Its a girl!"…as teacher continues to talk.
“Class! Comedown! Second guest is from MNM LAB-9. They are requesting for our school to test new supplements. They will bring us the supplements and paper work for your parents. Please take both of them home and get your parents approval and bring it back to us by Friday...”
I will never forget this moment in my life, this was my life changing moment.
Teacher says, “Ok, Reina. You can come in...”
I clearly remember, I was talking to Ken and Jenny since we sit right next to each other and she stepped in to the class room. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing…I stood up slowly...and I screamed,
“IT’S YOU!”
