This one is a time saver for me. So back story I recently worked with another tick tocker so I produced my videos he edited and posted for me from his account I'll gladly share him on this page here as you're reading..
So Long story short I wasn't a very good project manager and when he was posting his edits of what I wanted it did not come out like I wanted. I didn't fight him on it I didn't complain about it because if I really wanted it better I should have exerted more control and ultimately his input was what allowed for a different perspective on my characters, finally with his edit I just said it doesn't have to be my exact book that I wanted I can just say it's characters with the same name same area in the future and then they played out like that so nothing was lost
So with this other tick tock who's version of my work it took more of a comedic tone I'm not going to say that the jokes landed but it took on a more comedic tone and I personally enjoy writing tragedies which is the beginning of one of my novel characters he wasn't supposed to become a novel I wanted him dead
So to play between tragedy and comedy as a mood because it should just be appended ensuing between two tragic moments on the highest point of the pendulum and the bottom landing in comedy just to make it easier to write or vice versa I'm not really picky.. I came to the idea while on the toilet that if I just have one gimmick of the character not a character flaw per se but it can be used as a character flaw tragedy as well as in a comedic sense they will be the punchline or the part of the joke so that the moon can always swing
That's all I had to say stop. One gimmick for a character or a nation or a tribe or race one gimmick that can be used as their downfall or their punchline and this is a feature I'm going to have in my writing from now on even if I don't add it immediately with my editing I'll be adding this in the future to make a better book
Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.
