After protecting the city from the laser attack and eliminating the threat of the massive beast with his extraordinary magic, Ryu knew it was time to explain everything to Lyra and the townspeople, who now looked at him with a mix of awe and confusion. They needed to understand what was truly happening so they could prepare for the greater threats ahead.
In a quiet spot far from the city's bustle, Ryu sat with Lyra. His determined eyes now carried a deeper, more serious look than ever before.
“Lyra, I need to tell you everything that’s happened,” Ryu said firmly, though his tone was gentle.
Lyra sat beside him, her eyes filled with curiosity. “Ryu... I don’t understand what just happened. What did you do with that magic? How are you able to alter these fundamental concepts?”
Ryu took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. “The magic I used isn’t ordinary magic. It’s called Rewrite Existence. With this magic, I can alter even the foundational concepts of this world—reality itself.”
Lyra looked even more bewildered. “So, you can reshape the entire world with that power?”
Ryu nodded slowly. “Yes. With this power, I can erase or create the very concepts that define our world—for example, I erased the concept of ‘ferocious animals,’ ensuring no creatures will attack us again.”
“But that’s... that’s incredibly dangerous, Ryu. Altering reality like that could cause unimaginable imbalance.”
Ryu looked at Lyra, his eyes filled with a deep sense of responsibility. “I know, Lyra. That’s why I must use it wisely. There may be much I don’t understand about this power, but I know one thing: I have to protect those I love. I won’t let this world fall apart.”
Lyra was silent for a moment before carefully asking, “And what about time? Why were you able to go back to the past?”
Ryu gazed at the glowing letter in his hand, its faint radiance still pulsing softly. “This letter is the key to altering time. I’ve manipulated time and returned to the starting point—the moment when everything began. I remember everything that happened in the future—loss, destruction, even your death, Lyra. I came back to this point to stop it all. To change fate.”
Lyra was quiet, then asked seriously, “But what makes you so certain? What makes you think you can change a fate that’s already been set?”
Ryu gripped the letter more tightly. “That’s the power of God. God is the orchestrator of fate, the one who controls everything in this universe. But... even a fate that seems immutable can be disrupted. I’ve been given a second chance to defy that fate, and I will.”
Lyra looked at Ryu with growing trust, though a faint worry lingered in her eyes. “I trust you, Ryu. But I’m also scared of what might happen if we take the wrong step.”
Ryu met her gaze with unwavering resolve. “I’ll make sure everything goes right. I won’t let the same destruction happen again. We’ll face God, King Shin, and every other threat together. We’ll rewrite the destiny of this world.”
Outside, the wind blew gently, as if nature itself had heard Ryu’s vow. But hidden in the shadows, unseen eyes watched intently, waiting for the perfect moment to act. Ryu’s struggle had only just begun, and the path ahead was fraught with unimaginable risks. Yet he knew that as long as hope and determination burned within his heart, nothing could stop him.
