予期せぬ再発
Ryu, standing amidst the devastation of the city, his hands trembling as he clutched the blank letter, which, somehow, remained intact amid all the destruction. Suddenly, the letter began to glow. The light was so bright that it blinded Ryu, forcing him to close his eyes.
"What’s happening?!" Ryu exclaimed, his voice a mix of confusion and fear.
The letter began to change, forming strange patterns that moved as if they were bringing time itself to life. Lines of light spiraled around Ryu, creating a massive vortex of energy. Everything around him began to fade—the destruction of the city, Lyra's lifeless body, even himself— as though time was being manipulated, rewinding back to the beginning.
When Ryu opened his eyes again, he found himself in a place he knew all too well: the room in Dr. Amelia's house, the archaeologist he had met earlier.
"What is this...? How did I end up back here?" he whispered, looking around in confusion.
Before Ryu, Dr. Amelia was examining the blank letter he had given her earlier. Lyra was standing next to her, smiling softly. Everything seemed as though nothing had ever happened.
However, a new presence in his mind made Ryu realize. He now had full awareness of everything that had occurred. He remembered Lyra's death, the city's destruction, and the loss of his parents.
"Time... it all started here," he thought seriously. He looked at the letter with mixed emotions. This letter was not just an ordinary object—it was a tool that rewrote time, giving him a second chance to fix everything.
But a voice in his head reminded him: "Time is not merely a cycle. Your actions this time will decide everything. Act before the destruction happens again."
Ryu stood up, full of resolve. He looked at Dr. Amelia and Lyra. "I don’t know how to explain this, but I need to act fast. Lyra, we need to leave here now."
Lyra looked at him with confusion. "Ryu? What’s going on? You look like someone who just saw the world crumble."
"Because I did," Ryu replied firmly. "Trust me. I’ll explain everything later, but for now, we need to move before it’s too late."
Lyra, though still confused, nodded slowly, trusting the determination in Ryu’s eyes. The two of them left Dr. Amelia's house, with Ryu now fully in control of his actions.
In his heart, Ryu vowed: "I won’t let the same thing happen again. This letter has given me a second chance, and I will use it to protect those I care about."
However, in the distance, a dark shadow lurked. Something or someone had noticed the manipulation of time caused by the letter. A new chapter in Ryu’s struggle had just begun.
