The Birth of a King
In a very small village, there was a couple facing great hardships. The wife was pregnant, but the husband had no money at all to cover the cost of childbirth. Without a midwife to assist her, the wife endured excruciating pain.
Meanwhile, at the peak of the heavens, a fierce battle was raging. An army led by King Shin was attacking King Toru Haze, the ruler who protected everything in the world. Toru, wearing the royal mantle and armor, fought tirelessly despite being surrounded by thousands of soldiers. However, the royal attire restricted his movements, making his battle incredibly difficult.
In the end, King Shin used his power to create a spear and struck Toru in the chest, ending his life. In his final moments, Toru told his wife to protect the kingdom and never let King Shin take away its order.
After Toru's death, his wife, Nia Hazel, stood against King Shin’s army. Nia managed to defeat half of the army, but King Shin gathered more energy and launched another spear at Nia. At that moment, Nia used a forbidden power to create a massive protective barrier. This barrier was so strong that even King Shin’s spear couldn’t penetrate it. However, using this power had a side effect: Nia aged rapidly, her body becoming frail and covered in wrinkles. Despite this, the protective barrier remained eternal and indestructible.
Seeing this, King Shin ordered his army to retreat, realizing the barrier was too powerful and that a fatal counterattack could occur if they pushed forward.
The kingdom’s servants and guardians were deeply worried when they saw Nia had aged so drastically. They immediately worked with the kingdom’s scientists to find a way for Nia to survive. Nia expressed her gratitude for their help, though her voice was weak and barely audible.
At that moment, Nia remembered her late husband, Toru, and began to weep. Immersed in deep sorrow, the kingdom's guardians tried to console her, but her grief was so profound that it was almost unbearable.
Meanwhile, Toru, now a spiritual being, watched over the world. He noticed a couple facing similar hardships. The wife was near childbirth, and the husband didn’t have enough money to pay for it. Toru used his power to reincarnate as the unborn child in the woman’s womb.
Toru entered the child’s body and met the child’s spirit. The spirit, who introduced himself as Leo Wald, said to Toru, “If you want to use my body, take good care of it and don’t let it die. If it dies, I will erase you.” Toru took these words seriously and made a solemn vow.
After that, Leo’s spirit departed. The child was safely born, and the couple named him Ryu Haze.
