Sora paused for a moment. Sora was a bit perplexed as to why she could understand the girl all of a sudden. On top of that, the girl was even speaking in Japanese. Whereas only a few minutes ago the girl was speaking some strange language she had never heard before. The only explanation was the magic circle that her body drew on its own when she lost control of it.
At this moment and time, none of that mattered. All Sora could think about was the fact that she was now able to understand and converse with this girl. A sigh of relief fell over Sora. If they can understand each other then that meant she could request help from this girl.
"I'm really sorry for scaring you! That was not my intention what so ever. Luckily somehow I am now able to understand what you are saying. " Sora said wiping some of the sweat off her forehead.
The girl just tilted her head and looked at Sora in a perplexed manner. The girl also gave a sigh of relief, now that she had learned that Sora was not going to hurt her in any way.
"You used magic, right? The power of the ancients." The girl pointed to the magic circle that Sora's body had drawn on its own.
"Did you not come from EElac?"The girls asked. The girl's eyes were filled with excitement
" EElac? Is that like a country of some kind and if I may ask where exactly am I?" Sora asked.
The girl sat there for a minute. She looked like she was pondering something before she turned her attention back to Sora.
"This is the world of Cora. Well, what's left of it anyway. This platform here was used by a race that came from a place called EElac. In ancient times the EElacians would use these platforms to come to our world. The EElacians were very strong and could wield all kinds of magic. Well, that's what I have been able to learn from reading ancient texts that I have found. But as you can see this is what our world looks like today." A frown appeared on the girl's face.
She seemed a bit dejected. It was understandable though. The area Sora found her self in was like a desolate wasteland. Sora could not see a single tree or plant what so ever. Just rocks and sand. Off in the distance, you could see mountain ranges but besides that, there was nothing but desert and huge rock formations.
The girl also went on to add that. There was also another race of beings that used the platforms as well. This race was not as kind as the EElacians and would hunt the Corians for sport. They killed millions upon millions of the Corians without a second thought. The girl said that they were able to wield power that even rivaled the EElacians. The EElacians tried all they could to help the Corians. But there was very few EElacians and thousands upon thousands of the other beings. She said they ravished the world and took almost all of its resources before they moved on. The Corians that were left have survived to this day by exploring old ruins and scavenging for resources where ever they could.
But as far as they knew, the world was nothing but a wasteland now. The change to the world made the environment harsh and volatile. Which made traveling very difficult. If one were to stray too far from a city they were certain to find nothing but death waiting for them. If they were to travel outside the cities they would need to make proper preparation and have at least 10 days worth of food and water with them even if they were only traveling a short distance.
The girl said it's been over one thousand years since the last EElacian were seen and eight hundred years since the other beings have been seen. It just so happened she was here looking for resources and or any other kind of objects from ancient times that might be of use. That was when Sora had appeared in a huge flash of light in the middle of the platform just as the ancient texts had described. The ancient texts had said that you would know when someone was arriving when you see a huge flash of light coming from the platform. The reason the girl was so scared was that she did not know if Sora was an EElacian or one of the other beings. There was never any images of EElacian's nor the other beings. So she had no idea what either looked like.
Sora listened to what the girl was telling her. Sora could see a bit of enthusiasm in the girl's words as she talked. Sora guessed that this girl was very passionate when it came to history. Once the girl was done explaining, Sora nodded her head and gave the girl a smile to show that she was listening. That was when Sora realized that she was no longer on Earth and at that moment and time that she had no idea how to get back to earth.
Sora started to shake a bit as she thought of the situation she was in. She wanted to burst into tears. But she repressed this feeling since she realized this was not the time to be doing such things like breaking down. Sora wiped her eyes and looked at Rio with a slight smile on her face.
"Well, once again I am very sorry for scaring you and I am not here to harm you or your people that is for sure. To be honest there is probably no way I would even be a threat to your people. The place I come from is called Earth. As far as I know, I don't think anyone from my planet has ever come to your world. Umm..." Sora paused for a second and realized she did not know this girls name.
On top of that, this entire time she had been talking to this girl, she had completely forgotten to introduce herself.
