Sora opened the book up and started reading the first page.
"Magical transference is a spell to transport the caster anywhere they wish to go." Sora whispered to herself as she read the first line.
Sora couldn't believe what she was reading. Was this actually a book on magic. She thought to her self. Sora closed the book and a bright smile formed on her face. She was trying hard to hide her excitement. Sora walked back up to the counter where the old lady was and placed the book on top of it.
"Excuse me how much is this?" Sora asked giving the old lady a small smile. The old lady looked up from the book she was reading. She looked at the book and then looked back at Sora.
"You sure you want this book young lady?" The old lady said in a hoarse tone.
Sora looked at the old lady for a second and nodded her head. She was kind of freaked out by how the old lady talked. The old ladies voice was rough and a little bit creepy.
"The books here choose their owners so just take it. But be warned all things are not as they seem." The old lady let out a cackle of a laugh as she pushed the book to Sora and went back to what she was doing.
Sora stood there confused for a second looking at the book on the counter. She wondered if it was ok for her to take it or not. Sora's puzzled expression had attracted the attention of the old lady once again.
"Ya-deaf girl go on and take it." The old lady said as she turned her attention back to Sora and made a shooing motion with her hands.
Still confused Sora picked the book up off the counter and walked out of the store with it in her hands. Stopping in front of the store Sora realized that she had never said thank you to the old lady. When Sora turned around, she was met with a surprise. The store that she had just came out of was now gone and in its place was a big sign that said office space available.
"What the hell where did it go!?!" Clutching the book in her arms Sora stood there utterly dumbfounded. She gazed at the book in her hands and decided it was best to just head home for the day. Sora really could not grasp what had just happened, as if it was not real at all. But the book she was holding was 100 percent real.
Sora got home a lot earlier than normal. No one from her family had come home yet. She headed upstairs to her bedroom and threw her stuff on the floor. Sora looked at her bed and fell face first into it. She was still mildly out of it. It all seemed so magical to her. She couldn't help but be excited by it all. After getting up she took out the book she had received from the mysterious shop and then sat on the bed and started reading it.
"Magical transference is a spell that transfers the caster anywhere they wish to go. The spell needs a large magic circle in order to be used. The casters thoughts must perceive the place in which they want to be transferred to. Any error on this part and the caster will be transferred to another destination." Sora continued reading until she came to a page with some diagrams of magic circles.
There were two magic circles in total. Sora could not understand the writing underneath the drawings. From what she could figure out from the book was that one of the magic circles was used for the transfer and the other was a destination circle. Meaning you needed one circle to transfer you, but you also needed a circle to act as the destination. It went on to say that the magic circle had to be a minimum 32 centimeters in diameter. The whole concept of what she was reading really excited her.
After reading a few more pages Sora turned back to the page with the magic circles and scanned it into her computer so that she could blow the pictures up a bit. The pictures in the book were too small to make out the fine details of the magic circle. She printed out both types of magic circles and decided that she wanted to try drawing one of them on her own. After taking some chalk from her desk, she left her room and headed downstairs to the basement of her house.
Sora cleared a space out so that she would have enough room to practice drawing the magic circle. She tapped a copy of the magic circle to a box to make it easier to look at while she was drawing it out. She only brought the transfer magic circle with her to start with. She knew that she wouldn't be able to do this for too long, due to if someone came home and had found her drawing on the basement floor she would get in trouble.
It only took Sora about thirty minutes for her to finish drawing the circle, after making quite a few mistakes in the process. After it was done Sora stood back for a second to admire what she had accomplished.
"Yes! My first magic circle!" Sora shouted in excitement.
Without a second thought, Sora walked into the middle of the circle and started pretending like she was some kind of magical girl, by twirling around and making god awful poses and for some reason, and then she stripped naked...
'I did not do any of those things! Stop adding things to the story that are not true!'
Not good to lie you know...
'I'm not lying! Why are you always like this! Grrr..! I give up... Just continue already!'
"Oh, holy one of the lost ages. Please bestow upon me your gracious blessing and send me to a place I have always dreamed of." Sora yelled as she reached her hands into the sky.
Sora stood there for a minute to admire what she had just created. Once she was satisfied she decided that she should clean up her mess before someone came home. She was just about to take a step outside of the magic circle when a bright white transparent light surrounded her and rose up into the air. The white light acted as some kind of barrier and blocked Sora from being able to exit the magic circle.
"Hey what's going on here!!" Sora shouted.
Sora pushed hard against the wall of light, but to no avail, it did not let her pass through it. She was trapped with no way to get out. The light got brighter and brighter. The light was so blinding that Sora was forced to shut her eyes. The only thing she could do was smash her fist off the wall of light. She tried to break it with her fist, but it seemed to be futile. The light flashed so brightly that if Sora did not have her eyes closed she might have been blinded. When the light finally grew dim enough for her to open her eyes. Sora's surroundings had completely changed. Now, this brings us back to where we started.
'Wait do I really have to say it again?'
*Whack*
'Ow! Fine! Just stop hitting me with that damn bat!'
"Where the hell am I!!!!" Sora yelled as she saw her surroundings. Now Sora's tale has officially started...
