Archive. "Yoga"? Delusion. Introduction. Updated
I once heard from a yoga instructor that nettles are home to mosquitoes.
And I understood this to mean that the mosquitoes in the last birth were nettles. I have built my own Theory of Evolution on this basis.
Once, I proudly shared my thoughts with society.
"Let's look at a nettle thorn. Does it look like anything?" So I began my presentation with a question.
"Of course! Like a mosquito's nose!" I answered myself.
................
Sometimes a mosquito home is just a home...
Apparently it meant that mosquitoes live in nettles.
Why did I come to yoga? I did not ask this question for myself.
When the first book came into my hands, I began to master the exercises without questions like "Why?"
Of course, I love the inspiring calls to "engage". Enjoy listening and talking about this topic. But still I have an advantage towards practice.
Although I could devote more of my time to this.
Nevertheless, I would answer one question that seems essential to me.
"Where to begin?"
Traditionally, yoga start with hygiene (H). This is a large and interesting section. It takes a lot of time. And it quickly "pays off".
I did not start with H, but immediately with asanas. And now I understand that this was not enough.
It's hard to understand anything without H. It is difficult to master anything without mastering H. It gives a cleaner perception of reality.
And first of all, safety is important to me.
I discourage doing inverted poses in the first year of training.
It is necessary to prepare for them for a long time before performing difficult poses. Run more affordable. Ve-e-e-ry slowly increasing the load. You need to understand that seemingly simple yoga poses work very well.
In yoga there can be no exams, transition from course to course. Moreover, the competition.
The tendons on my leg are still stretched out after quickly mastering the lotus position.
It is necessary to protect the vessels from early execution of inverted poses.
Let it be boring to wait until I get to a high level. It takes years.
In my youth, I tried to get into the bicycle section. So there the instructor immediately put me on the track together with experienced racers. And I looked, naturally, an idiot. Compared to people who have been doing this for several years. Everyone was very unhappy with my slowness. I understand them. They came to "study", and not to mess with newcomers.
Let those around you want to practice doing exercises of their level. I will do the exercises strictly at my level.
NATURE to create around a group of experienced FOLLOWERS of the TEACHING and work for our own pleasure. And waves of rookies come and go. This is a struggle to survive. What to do, social formations are formed according to the principles of a wolf pack. "The strongest survives".
For me, gradualism and caution are important. This is my health. Therefore, I avoid becoming a "yoga athlete", striving to quickly reach some "heights". The bike section taught me this.
