9. Acceptance Letter to Magic School
A few days after the exam, Emma had returned to her home in London.
When Emma woke up early in the morning, a small white bird flew in from outside her window.
“What…?”
The bird was pecking at the window, holding something in its beak. When Emma hurriedly opened the window, the bird gently fluttered into the room, placed a letter on the desk, and then vanished as if it had never been there.
“A magic letter…!”
With trembling hands, she broke the seal, revealing a fine parchment inside. Beautiful handwriting appeared on its surface, stating that she had passed the exam.
As she finished reading the letter, Emma felt emotions slowly welling up inside her.
“I passed…!”
That evening, Emma reunited with Louis at her home in London.
“Emma, did it arrive?”
“Yes! Look, I got in!”
Emma beamed as she showed him the letter.
“You’re assigned to Luminous College… That suits your magic perfectly.”
“Hey, what’s a college like?”
Curious, Emma asked, and Louis paused for a moment before answering.
“There are thirty colleges at Arcana Academy of Magic. Each has its own traditions and specialties. Luminous College values creativity and individuality, and it has many students who excel in fire and light magic.”
“Fire and light magic… I always thought I was good at those, so I’m really happy! Hey, what about your college, Louis?”
“I’m in a different one. But at Arcana Academy of Magic, as long as you know someone, you can visit colleges outside of your own. One day, I’ll invite you to mine.”
“Then I can visit your college someday too!”
Emma smiled shyly at the thought.
“…So, we’ll be in different colleges. From now on, I have to do my best on my own.”
After a brief silence, Emma renewed her determination. Holding the letter tightly in her hands, she made a silent vow to herself.
