Epilogue
Three years has passed.
Lisa graduated from the University but not succeeded Yasuko’s company. She had sold all the stocks and donated all funds to one Hospital House for the cancer patients. She got had a job at that Hospital as a counselor.
She could not agree to Yasuko’s thought to extend a life by replacing organs.
She was talking to a patient quietly.
“Let’s write a diary. Even if you lose your life, your memory will continue to live in this diary forever.”
Lisa realized at last what is an eternal life. It is not physical but mental one. A human can live eternally if he or she leaves a memory. A memory will never die and be brought back by someone and somewhere.
Today Yuichi who finished his training course for new doctors will arrive to work for this Hospital. Lisa was waiting for his arrival.
They will marry the next spring. Yuichi well knew Lisa’s secrecy but he selected her for his life partner.
Around noon time Yuichi came in the entrance. Lisa met him.
“Lisa. It’s long time. How are you? You look very fine.”
“Thank you. Recently my illness is getting better. It was very strange but my Telomere had become a little longer. My doctor was wondering what did become of my Telomere.”
“That’s wonderful news, isn’t it?. I should prepare a study report.”
“And one more thing. My menses returned normal. We can have a baby.”
“Have our baby? Really? OK. I will try hard tonight.”
Lisa turned her back and turned red.
