Englidh version
Toccata and Fugue
Drawn by a rising, trembling breath,
I step aloft, yet still beneath
The darkened curtain lies in wait—
The bell has yet to toll its fate.
Though vision falters, blinds my sight,
The red fruit rings its stubborn light,
And on my heels its echoes fall,
A steady, resonant, clarion call.
I search for faces I have known,
Yet find instead my self alone,
Within the mirrored stage behind,
Where half-drawn portraits frame my mind.
A fragile thread of memory,
Frayed, broken, weaves intermittently,
The end of time, the drama’s close—
What remains is this body, and the poem I chose.
Far off, low, beats a pulsing heart,
The coming sky-roar, magma-like,
A trembling sound that pierces dark,
And stirs the depths of soul and spark.
