Chapter 37: Scientifically Engineered!: The Not So Silent Party! (Part 1)
Okay, so things regarding the most recent run-in with the green colored mech, had at last, finally come to an end, at least for now. And as for those who were responsible for its creation? Well, more on that a bit later.
Anyway, what was currently a much more pressing matter, was what had just been told, to me and Misaka, from Heaven Canceller, regarding Febrie.
"Scientifically engineered, are you serious?" Misaka began with asking, in a pretty astonished sounding tone, just after Heaven Canceller, had let both me and her know, that Febrie, was in fact, a scientifically engineered type of human, called a Chemicaloid.
The only trouble was, that as Heaven Canceller, was busy explaining exactly what a Chemicaloid was. I was sort of...well...
"Oh...well that is quite a bit of...scientific stuff...so to speak...anyway viewers...though I am not going to go into intense detail, as to what a Chemicaloid is...Let's just say, that it is the term used to refer to the artificial humans created by a group named STUDY. The Chemicaloids viewers, are exactly what their name entails, they are artificially created through chemicals, including non-naturally occurring ones as well. However, despite this, their appearance and their bodily functions, are actually no different from regular humans. However, as part of their metabolic processes, their cells naturally secrete a poison. That if left unattended, it will accumulate in their bodies, disrupting their organ functions, making them ill or even killing them...So viewers, that, is what a Chemicaloid is...So viewers, with that short explanation now done, what do you say, that we get back to the story now, hmm?" I thought to myself, while I had had my eyesight, turned slightly to the right of me, to briefly address the viewers.
And as for the reason, as to why I hadn't turned my entire head, and my attention, along with my eyesight, in order to address you viewers during the fourth wall break. Well, that was because I had to at least remain somewhat focused, on listening to Heaven Canceller's explanation, in an effort to relay the information to all of you viewers. And with regard to being able to achieve such? Well, that wasn't hard.
"I mean after all viewers, and as a well known DC universe villain once justifiably said, 'you see madness, is like gravity, all it takes, is a little push.' And as for which DC universe said that particular quote? Well, if you haven't already guessed who it is by the first quote, then here's another one. Well a couple more, but you get what I mean here, right viewers? 'If you're good at something, never do it for free,' or 'it's not about the money, it's about sending a message, everything burns.' Do you realize who it is now viewers? Well, you should, I mean after all, Heath Ledger, did give up his life, to make sure that he immortalized the role of Joker, in The Dark Knight...*I say the last part, with an all telling smirk, now becoming quite visible, on my face*...Now then, what do you viewers say, that we get back to the story, hmm?...*I say this part, while smiling with both eyes closed, and with my head tilted to one side, in a cute manner*"
Later on, and on the streets of Academy City, me and Misaka, were currently, well what else, we were walking down one of the streets just minding our own business. Well, Misaka was, while I on the other hand, was sort of deep in immense thought. And for the record, me and Misaka, weren't exactly alone, as we did have Febrie with us.
However, while Misaka had her hand on Febrie, I was...well
"Well viewers, I would say...that things regarding me and Misaka, and our encounter with the green colored mech, was just a one-off, but then, I would be lying to all of you viewers then, wouldn't I?...Yes, unfortunately, the green colored mech, that me and Misaka, had fought against a couple of chapters back, was, and will in fact not be, a simple isolated incident...In fact viewers..." I thought to myself, while I had my attention, as well as my eyesight, turned slightly to the left of me, to briefly address the viewers.
The only trouble was, that my thought was sort of cut short, so to speak.
And the reason?...well...
"Big Sister, it is so good to see you again...Misaka says with charisma," the all too very familiar voice, of one of the Sisters said from not too far ahead of us.
"Oh, well that's unexpected...Uh...well...I didn't expect one of the Sisters to be here...Well viewers it would seem..." I thought to myself, while I once again, had my attention, as well as my eyesight, turned slightly to the let of me again, to once again briefly address the viewers.
But, once again, this, like my previous fourth wall break, was cut short, yet again.
Which was due to...
"Ah, I see that you have brought some friends along...says Misaka, pointing out the obvious," the Sister followed up with.
Which to be honest...
"Okay...so viewers, just to give you all a clearer picture...you know, for those of you, who don't know exactly who the Sisters are...Well, how can I put this...they are basically...nearly identical clones, of Misaka...Yes, you read that right viewers...and as I had mentioned in a previous chapter...these exact same Sisters, were used in the Project Level 6 Shift experiments...and how many you might ask?...Well...20,000...well, not anymore, as Accelerator did in fact...*ahem*...kill about 10,000 of them...So viewers, does that not sound weird?...Anyway, see you all in the next chapter, okay?" I thought to myself, all while, I once again, had turned my head, eyesight, and as well as my attention, slightly to the left of me, to one again address the viewers.
