第四章：ゼロサムゲームと甘い香り
ある雨の夜。アズは確信した。アシュエンは自分を「存在抹消クレンジングウォーター」で消し去り、シードフレーズを独占しようとしている、と。
「あいつがその気なら、俺にも考えがある」
アズは、ペントハウスのクローゼットの奥に隠してあった、あの日の特売品を手に取った。
『時空超越バニラエッセンス —— 「あの頃」の香りで、過去も未来も、別世界も思いのまま！』
このエッセンスは、香りを嗅いだ瞬間から脳が最も望む「別の時空（過去、未来、あるいは平行世界）」へと、意識と肉体を転移させる。ただし、副作用として、脳がその時空の「唯一の現実」として固定されるため、元の時空からは「消滅」する。
アズの計画はこうだ。「アシュエンにこのエッセンスの香りを嗅がせ、彼を別の時空に飛ばして、自分だけがこの莫大な富のある時空に残り、シードフレーズを統合する」。
しかし、アズは気づいていなかった。アシュエンも全く同じタイミングで、全く同じ計画を立て、もう一本の『時空超越バニラエッセンス』を懐に忍ばせていることに。二人の脳は、所詮は同じ「リン・ズーシュエン」なのだ。
先手を打つしかない。
二人はほぼ同時に防雨マントを羽織り、ペントハウスを飛び出して、深夜の『マツモト・バイオドラッグストア』へと駆け込んだ。

Chapter 4: The Zero-Sum Game and a Sweet Scent
One rainy night, A-Zi became convinced of one thing: A-Xuan was planning to erase him with "Existence-Erasing Micellar Water" and monopolize the seed phrase.
"If that's his game, two can play at it."
From the depths of the penthouse closet, A-Zi retrieved the special-sale item he'd bought that day.
Trans-Dimensional Vanilla Extract — With the scent of 'the good old days,' the past, the future, and alternate worlds are yours to command!
The moment its scent was inhaled, the extract would transport the user’s consciousness and physical body to the "alternate timeline" their brain most desired. The side effect, however, was that their brain would lock onto that timeline as the sole reality, causing them to completely vanish from their original timeline.
A-Zi's plan was simple: force A-Xuan to inhale the extract, banish him to another timeline, and remain the sole Lin Zixuan in this wealth-filled reality to consolidate the seed phrase.
But A-Zi was oblivious to a fatal flaw. A-Xuan had formulated the exact same plan at the exact same moment, and was concealing a second bottle of Trans-Dimensional Vanilla Extract in his coat. After all, their brains were both fundamentally "Lin Zixuan."
He had to strike first.
Almost simultaneously, both men threw on their rain slickers, bolted from the penthouse, and dashed toward the midnight glow of the Matsumoto Bio-Drugstore.
