"Grass is always greener on the other side." It's a common saying in any country that speaks the English language. It means "What you do not have always looks better than what you do have." That's the gist of it. It's a very, very true statement for humanity. After all, that is the idea that greed is based on, and if literature tells its readers anything it is that overindulging yourself never ends well.
But the idea of overindulging being horrible doesn't only apply to humans, it applies to any sentient thing under the sun.
To dogs and cats.
To birds and pigs.
To snakes and horses.
And Gods.
